No blood no foul. I think a lot of people got their hopes up about a possible tour culminating at bonaroo. $1200 for two tickets don't jive with what I've come to respect the band for.

Seriously, this really is a let down. One Show? With the boy band of metal Metallica? And no Ten Club priority? Way to go guys!!! (clap clap) Way to show that you guys are all about your fans!!!

Here is my pledge, if Pearl Jam does not tour in 2008, I will vote for every Christian Conservative Republican I can, and will encourage anyone I can to do the same.

Pearl Jam screws up my year, I'll try to screw theirs!!! Go Huckabee!!!!!!!!!

    Huckabee isn't a conservative.

As for the show, I'm still on the fence. If the Zeppelin business gets cleared up and the actual LED ZEPPELIN is there I'm all in.

I can't gete over the fact that no matter what the 10C announces, there is SO MUCH BITCHING!! I'm glad they're playing, where ever it is they play and kudos to the people who get to go and enjoy it. For God's sake people, stop with the self-centered "if PJ doesn't play my back yard exclusively I'm gonna throw a tantrum" attitude!

Ok now, carry on with the pissing and moaning.

    Peace

the only thing he has a right to complain about is metallica and obviously PJ has nothing to do with that.

actually i read every post in the thread, and my brain functions quite well.
i thought he was serious by saying that PJ screwed up his whole year.
but he was joking. i apologized. but thanks for your concearn.

I'm with you there, i knew it was just going to be the Roo show announced.

my gf had her hopes up for a tour, and wants to go to the Roo, but i really have no desire to suffer through all the other shit to see PJ for 2 hours.

even if i had the cash just laying around, dont think i would want to go to this.

The sad thing is that I would normally agree with you. And for the people who can afford to go to this show I am sure it will be great.

But to think about shelling out at the very minimum $1000 to see a band play is a little extreme. It gets more frustrating when the band has fought for reasonable ticket prices. I'm sorry if I get a little upset when a band that loves to point out perceived hypocrisy's in others commits a huge one on their own.

dude, people don't realize that pearl jam can play as long as they want. I've heard that some acts go on for as long as 4 hours! Add in all the other bands, the 15-20 bands they haven't announced, and the coolest fuckin crowd of people and you've got yourself a weekend. Don't forget, there's a good chance the boys will find their way into others sets. Who knows, matt or mike might even be in the superjam. 2oo bucks isn't bad either. Fuck, a three day pass for lollapalooza was just about the same. See you on the farm!

Whether I get in at the initial price of 209.50 or , once that allotment is gone, at 229.50 or at 244.50, I'm definitely going. I like the idea of four days of music and activities and don't think the price is at all out of hand . At least 15 bands, with PJ foremost among them, are must see for me . And that was after a quick first glance at the line-up. I'd pay way more to see them individually. Hell, two 10C seats are routinely 100+ .

Well it costs under 300 dollars, not 1000. And there is likely about a 1000 entertainers and crew dividing that money up. QUIT FUCKING WHINING YOU BABY AND GO JERK OFF HUCKABEE!!! I'm glad you won't be there.

200 bucks for a 4-day festival is very reasonable, my friend.

All right ASS CLOWN! do you really think your getting to and from Tennessee with tickets for under $300? My $1000 estimate includes time off work, and other related expenses.

And I could give a shit less about the 1000 people divvying up the multiple millions of dollars this event will raise. That is less the $1 per person that goes to charity. The only band on the card I'd want to see is Pearl Jam.

And how typical is it on this site especially that the minute you disagree with the mass you get blasted down with insults.

    definitely...

seems some people forget that there will be OTHER bands there...

Well in my case its not that i forget nor that I think its expensive, but other than MMJ there isnt any other bands on the bill I would pay to go see even if they were playing in my town.. probably listen to their records in my car BUT not go see them in concert so in my case I would be vitually going just for PJ and in between the 2 tickets and the travelling expenses I can possible afford more than 1 PJ only show later ....

4 days for all those bands its not expensive, but the line up didnt impress me other than PJ of course and in my case I cant justify the $700+ this would cost me.

Are Allman Brothers confirmed? There will have to be a third headliner because Jack Johnson simply does not have the capacity to headline.

Surprised to see no one on here pumped up about Sigur Ros.

As for a full PJ set, does anyone know how long Radiohead's set was last year? From what I heard, it wasn't one of those short hour and a half festival sets, but longer. At least Pearl Jam is south of the Mason-Dixon.

    that's exactly my situation.

seems some forget the whole festival concept though...

either you have to buy a full pass or (like lollapalooza) you can get a 1 day.

even a 1 day would be, if available, would be more than your standard PJ show.

anyway, i want to go but no way i'm going to suffer through metallica or any of the other bands...i'll just save my money and hope for the best.

You get insults when you don't make any sense!!! You are insulting the band for being hypocrites because they stand for low ticket prices. They don't get your money from travels to and from the show! Use your fucking head. There are a lot of good upcoming bands playing this festival, but you have spent too much time in your mothers basement jerking to gay porn to realize. Have fun in the basement while I'm in Tennessee.
