    Just got my TM ticket for night two in the mail yesterday! Sorry can't make the pub crawl.
    Just a note though, Miller's Pub is large enough as there is an 'upstairs' with a low ceiling. But it does tend to get crowded with the post-work loop crowd so it's possibly not ideal.

    anyhow
    we *think* we have it narrowed down between Kasey's and Exchequer

    Kasey's was smaller but had a better vibe, more bar-ish. approximate 8minute walk from venue. They serve Taylor St pizzas and popcorn but you CAN bring in outside food AND they had 19 different beers on tap (always a bonus!!!)

    Exchequer was bigger and had better food options but was definitely more diner-ish (they did have a bar and an extensive beer on tap list. approximate 5minute walk from venue

    SO....
    laura or myself will be making phone calls to the two *finalists* sometime this weekend or early next week to talk to management and get more info to share with YOU and then decide.

    OTHER NOTES:
    Bar Louie was more of a sports bar sort of place plus they're a chain so it'll be harder to get them let us hold a fundraiser/party there without being shuttled to some little party room and whatnot. also, they were pricey

    Hackney's had a different vibe, older crowd (and by older, I mean older than me and i'm late 30's)

    Elephant & Castle was too far as was the Cactus both over 15 minutes walk from venue.
    and I forget why we didnt like manhattan's :D

    Yeah, everything that Jeannette/luv said. In a nutshell, Kasey's was more bar-vibe w/eh food. Exchequer was more food-vibe w/eh bar, all the others didn't meet enough criteria. :)

    As far as a charity, I put in an email to this cool group: http://girlsrockchicago.org/ for one of the nights. For the other night, I figure we can vote it all out. Thoughts?
