You are now more elusive than Ursula/Mrs_Vedder78 of the people I've known on here but never kept meeting!!! I do hope you can make it!

Yep! Checking out a few places, preferably within a 5 minute walk of the Auditorium.. but taking suggestions as well! It's right on Congress, so easy to find.

    Ill probably go Friday!!

Might have an extra ticket for Fri.

and my opinion on where it is: somewhere you dont have to be 21 to get in.....not a big deal though, I should have a fake ID. ;)

Not much in the way of bars in that area. The only thing I can think of is the rooftop bar (4th story) at the Plymouth about a block or two away.

That place is cool before Bears games.

Why not a post-show party, and bring it a bit farther North?

Krolls at 17th and Michigan is a BIG bar too, maybe too far? But it could easily accomodate a pre-party.

I have been to most all those places. My personal opinion is Kaseys. It is not too big, but it is a nice laid back bar. It also has some sidewalk seating if the weather is nice. I recommend it. It is also the closest to the show I think.

The Hackneys has really good food if people are looking to eat though.

The 4th story bar on Plymouth is not that greagt. Bad service and over priced. However, the outdoor ambiance is nice.

I'd probably be in for at least Thursday.

Plymouth is the best option out there so far, particularly if we think our group is in the 20-40 person range. If you include places a mile or so north the options multiply.

One idea that's sticking out is Rock Bottom Brewery, its just about a mile north of the Auditorium at State and Grand. It would be an easy walk and difficult to get lost due to its proximity to State Street, or a quick jump on the Red Line el train if it was raining. Lots of space on their rooftop deck and plenty of seating inside if weather isn't cooperating.

If it is a big group, then the bar Cactus might be a good option. It is a little bit west of the show, but not too far at all. Walking distance.
