    Hasn't Jet's latest (2nd) cd fallen off the face of the earth? After it's release and seeing the new video a couple of times I haven't heard anything buzz about them. Either there record label aint' standing behind them or they are the new Spacehog

    I am a fan of mindless cock rock, including both Oasis and Buckcherry. Both those bands are completely derivative and I don't care. Somehow, JET still pisses me off. This makes no sense, and if anything it speaks to how subjective musical taste can be.

    I do agree with His Fanchiness that there is room in the world for big dumb fun music.

    it might be the commercials. i think ive heard at least 2-3 of their songs on various commercials and that does kinda annoy me.

    i don't get why people are so pissed off by fanch's assertion. it's just his opinion. i don't think they're a better band than PJ, but i do agree with fanch and soulsinging that mindless cock rock is awesome and definitely has a place in music. and i would love to see this "wankers" tour... it would be absolutely amazing! as long as they serve natty....

    but whatever man, knock yourself out. personally, i enjoy life. it's not all crying in a dark room or ruffling my brow oh so pretentiously as i ponder how clap your hands say yeah's lyrics are so gibberish they HAVE to be deep. sometimes it's driving through town with the windows down on a sunny day and singing songs with great choruses about sex and parties and having fun. it's why i like the decemberists... songs about drunken sailors, it's kitschy but so much fun. or the new pornographers, or sloan, or buckcherry. jet is in the same camp.

    i hate jackass, but harold and kumar is funny as hell. nothing wrong with low brow now and again. if you dont have a sense of humor about how ridiculous your pretensions are, you just become an self-righteous tool.
