A friend and I saw last night's show in Lancaster PA - which was amazing btw, maybe the best of the 5 DBT shows we saw in September. Shonna Tucker told us after the show that DBT will be playing the last 3 nights of the year in Atlanta. Centro-matic will open all 3 shows. She didn't mention the venue.

For some reason the bugmenot main page is down, but I could get to the yousendit page.

I had success with the myaddy@dodgeit.com account...

    Try that.
You have to wait 45 seconds and close the pop-up, but this should work.

Great interview. Love Pattersons passion, 20 years in, and he seems so damn appreciative of what he's got. Now I'm jonesing for a live show...

Exclusive live mp3's and even studio outtakes are available on this site.
The blessing is that by the end of the month, you can collect an entire DBT bootleg album.
The curse is that each track will be available for a couple of days at most.

Seriously, you beat me to the punch by like 30 seconds on posting this... :)

Just downloaded the current track... is this the first one that was available, or did I miss any?

    Ha...yeah...just one right now.

It's a great idea and a nice way to give out some free music to fans.

  • Wow... you guys are quick... was just going to post this myself...
  • This is also why this is the best rock band going today (aside from Pj) - how many other bands would do this for their fans? I've never seen anything like this.

Actually, I think this deserves it's own thread...

Guess who I'm seeing tonight? That's right, The Drive by Truckers.

Hey, anyone know what time they hit the stage? My tickets say doors are at 8, and I hear there's an opener. So does that mean they come on at 9:30-10:00?

I just called the bar and the lady said DBT are at 10. Does that seem about right?

I hear the Drams are good, but never listened to their stuff. The later I get there the more I save on beer : )

Trust me, get there for the Drams. Well worth the extra $ on beer.

Saw them a few weeks ago, a great show.

  • Well...Truckers are going to be in Memphis a week from today. I was going to pass on the show (not willingly mind you), but PissBottleCousin emailed me yesterday and lit a fire under my ass.

I think we may take a trip down to Beale Street and see the show at the New Daisy. I'd rather go to the Nashville show, but Memphis is on a Friday and I only have to take a 1/2 day off to go.

Looks like I'm off to the rock show.

Hey PBM.............what can you tell me about the venue in Memphis??? Smoking or Non-smoking...........seats vs. no seats etc.

I've never been there...I've been by it tons of times while down on Beale Street.

My buddies went to see DBT last year there...I believe there are no seats...kind of a G/A thing. Don't know about the smoking situation.

Last time I saw DBT, we stood right next to the stage near Isbell. This time, I'm going to find a nice spot in the back.

Isn't Jason from Memphis or used to live there? Should be a good show.

I believe that he is from the same area of North Alabama that his wife, Cooley and Patterson are from.........that area is halfway between Birmingham and Memphis............you take U.S. Highway 72 right on into Memphis. :)

It is my goal to see Zip City, Outfit and Dress Blues live...although I'm not sure I'll get to see Dress Blues.

I could do without "Outfit".........seen it live twice............."Dress Blue".......I have too lazy to download it, thus I would be interested. "Zip City"....hell yeah!!!! I would really love to hear the song that we have already referenced twice this morning............"72 (This Highway's mean)"

It's a great tune. Isbell has a nack for writing some really great songs with fantastic imagery.

Seeing Outfit live is kind of like seeing Evenflow live...it's a rite-of-passage.

This Great Car-Dealer War track is a new favorite...listened to it a lot yesterday.

  • Goodesfield Road was amazing in Lancaster...

Jason supposedly said in Ohio they aren't playing Dress Blues anymore...just got to be too much, or something.

...and I understand that completely...especially if it's really a subject that he's sensitive about. I know he said he wrote it about someone he knew in high school. I imagine it would be hard performing that in front of a crowd if it held a special meaning to him.

    Great tune though.

  • Tickets are being purchased as we speak. There's a big group of us going, so it should be a great time.

I still would have liked to go to the Nashville show.

There's nothing like being in a Nashville crowd when Cooley sings, "I got friends in Nashville...or at least they're folks I know..."
