absolute fantastic night for me.
the number drawn was 215.
I had 520.
I was in the front Pit , with ample space and room on stevies side, towards the rear, on the raling by the camera guy .
absolute sick setlist.
We got Rosie, Jungleland,
fuck we got just about all of B2R
with the exception of thunderroad, and backstreets.

ghost of tom joad toight was drastically different then the previous night at Pete Seegers birthday , just for the addition of Nils on the guitar tonight--- and he fucking went off.
Bruce even said something to the effect of " the greatest guitarist in the world " .
no joke !
we got 2 tour premieres with the cover Expressway To Your Heart ( blah )
and Rendevouz ( pretty good ) . They try to make it spontaneous with the signs and all, but while on the GA libne outside we clearly heard Ex'wy to Your Heart being sound checked for a good 20 minutes ( if not more ) .
The Wrestler is a very touching and emotional song ( at least for me it twas ) performed live .
It was a highlight.
During Jungleland it was funny hearing to BOOs when " The Rangers had a homecoming " was sung.
I screamed the Rangers part myself.
we also got 2 closers to end the night.
DITD and then Rosie.
The crowd was so into it that Bruce wanted to reward them with one more song. Also nice since the crew had to get going to go the 350-plus miles to Charlottesville tomorrow.
Hand-written setlist had "Glody Days" with a question mark before it and "Dancin" with a ? after it.
"Night" was not on the setlist and the only thing not played was "Thunder Road" which was in the slot after Jungleland.
Soundcheck heard the band run through "Expressway To Your Heart" as well as "Secret Agent Man" and "Rockin' Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu" two songs done by Johnny Rivers. Guess Bruce may be on a Johnny Rivers kick after playing "Seventh Son" in Greensboro on Sunday.

sick isnt even the word to describe this concert bathy. the energy from the crowd, the band was on fire and we even got max to. i've been to many concerts and thought bout this one for a few days and for me this was the greatest concert i've ever been to. i was in section 339 and had an awesome view of the stage. that solo by nils in the ghost of tom jones was sick, i had chills. i also thought the fan request signs were cool. it was good to see some rare songs requested. love when he dissed the great balls of fire song. the old barn rocked. when he went on and on bout old arena's, i yelled build a new coliseum from the top of my lungs. it got a few laughs from people around me.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
Sammi: Wanna just break up?
I am too tired to write much, but I think you'll appreciate the significance of getting E Street Shuffle last night in Toronto. The signs that were played included Louie Louie, Prove It All Night, Racing in the Streets (cool, cool sign, with a car that headlights that actually lit up in the dark - the guy who made it posts at backstreets), and Radio Nowhere.
I was slightly behind the stage on the side, and it was fine - very close, and seeing them from the back didn't matter at all. Its not like I didn't know the songs!

May 8 / Bryce Jordan Center / University Park, PA
Notes: Returning to Pennsylvania, where they'll play yet again next Friday night under the lights in Hershey, Bruce and the band (minus Jay and Patti) seized the opportunity to play to a crowd that appeared evenly split between college students—many of whom had just finished exams and only had to cross the street from their dorm room to see the show—and seasoned Bruce fans. Maybe moreso than on other shows of the tour, Springsteen continued to blur the barriers between the band and the crowd, spending a great deal of time down at the foot of the stage, interacting with the increasing amount of young fans in the pit, or playing to the raucous fans seated behind the stage.
Big news for everyone wondering where the new album went: the State College stop brought the tour premiere of "This Life," in the spot usually reserved for "Kingdom of Days." It translated well to a live setting (even if it appeared to go mostly unappreciated by the sold-out crowd), featuring practically the entire band harmonizing at the end, but without the vocal instruction for the crowd that took a bit of the air out of the song during the Asbury Park rehearsals. Thumbs up.
The mid-set sign request slots brought the tour premiere of "Ramrod"—with the always enjoyable Bruce and Stevie shtick—followed by a truly on-the-spot cover of The Who's "My Generation." Bruce, Steve and Nils held an extended conference to work out the proper key and chord changes, and the p-p-p-performance featured several impressive solos from a smiling Garry, who seemed to relish the chance to take on John Entwistle's classic bass line.
Finally, the encore sent the entire crowd home happy—and Penn State students off into their summer vacation on a high note—with a frat-party inducing, roof-raising set of closers after "American Land" led off by the tour premiere of "Bobby Jean," which was followed by on-stage, unsetlisted audibles of "Detroit Medley" and "Wooly Bully."

Notes: "This is a big, big night," said Bruce toward the end of the Albany show. "For the first time in 35 years, someone else has sat at the drums: Max's son. We got a new blood brother there." After working up to it over the past couple months, Jay got his first complete show under his belt, start to finish. Lots of power on display, particularly strong on "No Surrender." Described in the band intros as "the unbelievable, the prodigy...," Jay proved it all night.
It's probably no coincidence that the setlist brought few stretches. A two-song sign set consisted of "Thunder Road" followed by "Mony Mony," the latter reprised from Chicago, and the crowd again ate it up. (The reverse of the "Mony Mony" sign got some hopes up, calling for "Like a Rolling Stone"—no such luck, not yet.) "Backstreets" followed "The Promised Land" as another request, and in the encore, Jay was put to the test as a kittycat sign called for the return of you-know-who. And "Kitty's Back" was hot.
Patti's still absent, though that didn't stop someone from holding up a sign for "Each Other's Medicine." And the Nils fretcam was again in effect on "The Ghost of Tom Joad," a spellbinding display that one fan called "the best thing about the show."

Out in the warm air for the first time this tour, Bruce and the Band brought the power to Hersheypark Stadium for the second time in less than a year. Without Patti and Max again, the Band managed a tight 27-song set which stretched out to three hours. The power and versatility of young Jay Weinberg was evident from the start, and the crowd ate him up—prompting Little Steven to pull a "We Love Jay" sign from the crowd and place it at the base of his drum set.
Bruce was shaking things up a little earlier than usual with the stadium staple “Twist and Shout," played for a girl who "promised to burn her Hannah Montana CDs” if he played it. Filling the sixth spot in the set, “Twist and Shout” absolutely rocked the Park and sent the crowd into an early frenzy. A second tour premiere was the apt sign-requested "Give the Girl a Kiss," for a Hershey's Kiss-shaped placard, which gave Clarence a nice turn at the mic. "Trapped" followed in the sign set as well.
While much of the set was standard for the first leg of the tour, both the Band and the crowd were on their game tonight. The three song stretch of “Seeds,” Johnny 99,” and “The Ghost of Tom Joad” continues to impress.

1. On the day of the show, sequentially numbered wristbands will be distributed beginning at 2:30 PM. This will take place outside in front of the Box Office doors (the Box Office between Gates A and D). Wristbands will be distributed until 5:30 PM. **(No more lottery/floor wristbands will be distributed until after doors are open)**
2. One wristband per patron, and the patron must be in possession of their GA ticket.
3. After the patron's ticket has been verified as a GA ticket, a wristband will be issued and affixed to the patron’s wrist.
4. Wristbanded patrons may leave the premises but must return at 5:30 PM.
5. A starting number will be randomly picked at 5:45 PM. A patron will draw the starting number. This number will be announced and displayed at the gate.
6. The patron wearing the wristband that matches the starting number will be first in line.
7. All other patrons with GA tickets and a wristband should begin lining-up sequentially behind that patron. The line will then be escorted into the area in front of the stage approximately 20 minutes before the rest of the patrons are allowed to enter the venue.
8. Anyone who receives a numbered wristband prior to doors has a chance to be first in line to enter the Front Area, but a wristband does not guarantee a place in the Front Area.
9. A wristband and a GA ticket are required to enter the Front GA Area.
10. The purpose of the random number distribution is to insure that all GA patrons have the same chance of being first in line, eliminating the need to camp out. This policy also helps to insure customer safety and provides for an effective means of crowd control.
11. Parking lots open at 12pm. Doors open at 6:30pm
ALL WRISTBANDS WILL BE ISSUED AT THE DESIGNATED GA ENTRANCE GATE.

799 wristbands given out.
I had 462.
Varying numbers allowed into the front pit : approx 450
I had # 462,
needless to say i was way way in the back ( by the mixing and sound engineering board )
OMG - the concrete took a toll on my feet , ankles and calves.
I'm sore and achy all day today ,...( charlie horses and tightness ALL NIGHT LONG )
Reserved chairs are starting to look better and better for this old man.
Chris Maddog Russo had a booth setup last night outside the Bruce concert at the Meadowlands.
Chris is an admitted Bruce Sppringsteen fanatic.
This was the first time I had seen or heard of him ( I do not have SIRIUS Radio ) since his leaving the ever so popular " Mike And The Maddog " show over at the FAN . AS we walked up, he was interviewing Arte Lang Live on the Airwaves.
Just got to see him for the first time in Pittsburgh a few nights ago. He FINALLY played "Like a Rolling Stone" from an audience sign (I hear it is requested at pretty much every show). That song alone was worth the ticket price. Oh, that, and the one-two opener of Badlands and Candy's Room (two of my favorite songs ever).
It was probably the second best show I have ever seen.

they try to make it spontaneous with the sign requests and all,
but its really just a ploy tyhey use to involve the audience a little more.
Clearly, Bruce takes the signs from out of the audience,
but the question is are the songs already penciled in on the setlists.
We were waiting outside of Nassau and clearly heqard the song "Expressway To Your Heart " being soundchecked inside. Once the sound checked terminated, they let us inside the front pit .
anyhow, still a good thing to see and hear,
its always good when they play an obscure song here and there !
These are some more clips I snapped while at NJs IZOD Center Thursday Night from the rear pit.
Needless to say limited as far as quality but you can get the right idea. Its supposed to be High Def but who knows .
enjoy
IZOD2
WOW !
got a single on the drop after 530 PM .
Scrambled out to The Swamps Of New Jersey about 7 PM.
Didnt hit a lick of traffic at all- whatsoever.
Pulled a single in 220, row 9 seat 2 .
Outstanding view and sound was shockingly good.
( it was still pretty steep up there in the NJ Meadowlands but oh well- no pogoing )
Because of the late juncture, it was WILL CALL ticket pickups only.
They lined you up alphabetically, i was on the A-L s line.
I look up in the line and who is inj front of me ? Tom Brokaw,
it was evident when I heard his voice and it was no question him.
We rode the escalator up into the rotunda and I disappeared from him up into my section.
He was with 1 guy and 1 gal, perhaps his kids ?
That rocks !
The show itself, WOW !
something in the night
good Lovin
E sTreet
Cover Me
Thunder Road
Incident
Kitty's Back .
it was extra nice to not have to camp out and deal with that concrete for a change. this was the first show i actually had a seat.
it rocked.
thanks Bossman, see you at the big house come October.

HOLY SHIT I was in the pit for IZOD 2 and it was unbelievableeeeeeeeeeee. He got my INCIDENT sign!!!!! After he didn't play it in the sign requests I thought our chances were shot, but then he pulled it out of nowhere!!!!! It was nuts, you can tell it wasn't part of the setlist. If you noticed after Promised Land Professor Roy had NO idea what was going on, then piano intro came and I freaked out! Then Kitty's Back in the encore....crazy night, amazing show, can't wait for Giants Stadium!

im going for seats monday morning.
the pit was a nice experience and all,
but the pits at the stadium are going to be tremendous.
At Giants Stadium, all the field level are standing only and GA ,
if you're not in that front Pit area-
expect to be a long way away from stage as well as being packed in with pprobably 5 times as many peeps than were witnessed at the arena tour Pit areas.
there was near pandamonium and near tradgedy at the Hershey venue a few weeks back--- - which was larger than any other Arena on the Leg 1 Tour, and I hear / read on backstreets that it was sheer panic down there on that large floor area.
of course, if i can only get a GA, i'll worry about it then , but beforehand im definitely shooting for some real estate and a few seats for these momentous goodbye shows.

The three song stretch of “Seeds,” Johnny 99,” and “The Ghost of Tom Joad” continues to impress.

wonder how many will be distributed this time around.
I believe the new triple decker car garage is situated right beside this area of the box office ,
so thats convenient.
And whats wit the 3 seated sections all the way in the rear of the GA ?
I havent seen any seating setup drawn up like that thuis far on this tour,
good luck to everyone going for the GA Pit .

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN & THE E STREET BAND GENERAL ADMISSION PROCEDURES

AS we walked up, he was interviewing Arte Lang Live on the Airwaves.
some snapshots I took along the way

Its supposed to be High Def but who knows .
enjoy

WOW !
got a single on the drop after 530 PM .
The show itself, WOW !

im going for seats monday morning.
the pit was a nice experience and all,
but the pits at the stadium are going to be tremendous.
