i bought the seeger sessions yesterday. and let me tell you it has just added credence to why i think springsteen is so beyond the crap. aside from neil young, there is no one i have been listening to longer than bruce. he says you gotta recontextualise the songs or you lose them. ahem to that brother.
hear my name
take a good look

POLISH UP THIS CHROME, BABY!
As we've mentioned before, Springsteen is doing quite a lot to support the Bob Woodruff Family Fund, offering a meet-and-greet concert package that's currently up for auction, as well as playing the Stand Up for Heroes benefit next week. Now, he's even donated his motorcycle.
Bruce's 1991 Harley Davidson Fat Boy, which he put 9,198 miles on, is on the auction block now at charityfolks.com -- it'll be part of the live auction at the Stand Up for Heroes event, with proxy bids placed on behalf of the online auction's winner. Along with the Harley, the high bidder will also receive a print of the photgraph pictured here, signed by Springsteen. Of course, not every gypsy biker can likely afford this one... but it's quite a piece of memorabilia.
Charityfolks.com is also taking bids on a pair of tickets to that Stand Up for Heroes show, which is Wednesday November 7 at New York's Town Hall. Bidding on this lot ends today at 6 p.m. Eastern.

From one Philly 2 attendee to another, the Vinyl version of "Magic" is awesome. It's the new 180-gram style I believe. But it sounds amazing. Bought mine last week.
hey I was just on pollstar and they have a date for Bruce in st paul for March? anyone know the deal?
Apparently at the end of the show last night, a message was posted on the big screens announcing ticket sales next week for a show March 16th at the XCEL Center.
I'm surprised Bathgate wasn't on this.
Anyway, my heart skipped a couple beats when reading this. I guess we can anticipate a winter/spring tour of the US. Come on ATLANTIC CITY!!!!

Notes: A knockout performance for Cleveland, with a setlist to match. Every E Street album was represented in the show tonight with the exception of The River -- and if you count River-era B-side "Be True," which had its tour premiere, it was a sweep. Representing Greetings was another tour debut, "It's Hard to Be a Saint in the City." Paired with "She's the One," it was just massive. "Tunnel" represented Tunnel, and from The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle in the encore, it was another stunning "Kitty's Back." All that, and they still had room for "woman power," as Bruce put it, with Patti spotlighted on "Town Called Heartbreak" as she returned to the fold after her absence in St. Paul. Oh, and speaking of woman power, Bruce referenced the Lynn Goldsmith photography exhibit down the road at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: "I hope they don't have pictures of me with my pants down!" In the crowd: The Raspberries' Eric Carmen, and retired longtime Plain Dealer rock critic (and huge Springsteen fan) Jane Scott.

Ramrod ? *

Ramrod was funny because it was a real little kid that wanted it. He held a sign for it all night. Kid might've been 4. Steve and Bruce were goofing all over it, just like the old days. And the crowd ATE. IT. UP. The best part about Ramrod was it was quite obviously completely spontaneous, nothing rehearsed about it. Bruce hesitated to do it. He asked and told the kid, something like, "You really want to hear it? Alright. Well, here it is. We haven't done it in five years, but here it is." By five years, I assumed he was thinking of the reunion tour. But they nailed it, no problem.
Tunnel Of Love ?
nice setlist from what i can see, glad you enjoyed your show.
