Yeah - after looking at the original setlist I was kind of like wait a minute, no Magic tunes?

You should totally go to Boston.

All I can hear in my head right now is that sax from Jungleland. I bet Clarence was shining.

ok, you can laugh all you want but if bruce or pearl jam live doesnt give you chills, then you have some problems.
  • Bathgate66Bathgate66 Posts: 15,813
if you're paying homage to billy corgan in your sig,
chances are you arent feeling many chills and
chances are you havent experienced what a Bruce show / setlist makes you feel like.

some people get it, some dont .

The setlist is up on BS.net. Amazing middle section there. Interestingly, according to the handwritten setlist, "Town" (assuming Town Called Heartbreak) was to follow Promised Land, then into Jungleland. No mention of Meeting. Cadillac (and misspelled!) was switched out for You Can Look. And, Ramrod was on the setlist in place of Thundercrack. I guess the vibe of the crowd tells him when to change and when to keep it as written.

fox news actually broke a story earlier today that more tour dates are going to be announced shortly- this will be branching out well into 2008 . Speculation is that he will follow the itinerary as he did with The Rising, and come back with a stadium tour to follow the initial barnstorming arena tour.

also- i think the brilliance of placing songs where they are in the list is another one of Bruces knacks .

having Meeting Across The River going right into Jungleland is very special.

    :)

JUNGLELAND? Ah, now I feel bad... that's my dad's favorite Springsteen song, he would've loved that in Philly. Ah well. I missed out on the Arcade Fire also, so I know how he feels. :)

    no disrespect intended-
and coming from a fellow NYer that attended all of the Shea Stadium Shows of 2003 out in College Point ,
i would go out on a limb anbd guess that Bruces preferred stadium in NYC would be the original NY Yankee Stadium- since they are about to close it down for good and this 1 venue has eluded the Boss up untill now,....

if he played THE stadium before it was knocked down, that would be the greatest thing ever. although it is going to be a lonely place with mr. joe torre and probably mariano and jorge and andy...but thats besides the point.
