It depends ... what kind of paper, how long it was in the tube before it was shipped, how long you left it in the tube, how heavy your books are. I don't usually even check on mine for at least a week. Sometimes that's enough, sometimes not.

Klausen and Ames use different paper, and the Klausens have been taking me a bit longer to flatten. Be patient, it will get there eventually.

My Oh My! is that Borgata sweet..The pics on the net do it no justice. When you see it in person, you realize it's one of the best ever!

Very cool! I love the fact that you only put one matte on it...it really brings the blue of the fiddler out of the print!

Thanks! I fooled around FOREVER on the American Frame site, trying different mats. I had inteneded to do at least two, but in the end I liked the simple approach best.

I did the same thing, and went with the same design you did. A poster like that really only needs one mat.

The colors are very good...I just don't like ticket stubs framed with posters.

That is the nicest Gorge frame job I have seen so far. No offense to the others, but I really like the matte is relieved at the bottom or the script with the countour, and the black as the top matte is diff from what others have done, the majority anyway.

I decided to take my pink Borgata to a local frame store(didn't trust myself to do a good enough job with AF) and got double acid free mattes(2 inch black, 1/4 inch pink), UV glass, black metal frame, and ArtCare Foamcore backing for $197 after tax. Expensive, but I figure I'm ahead of those who pay over $200 on ebay and then another $100 for the frame ;). Hopefully I'll be able to get a picture up next week when its done.

For the next poster(one that will be more easily replaceable if I completely screw up...) I'll probably tryout AmericanFrame.

Do you really need to flatten it so it stays flat on its own before you frame it? Won't it just stay flat once you put it in the frame?

Go for it ... it's almost impossible to fuck it up in any way that can't be easily fixed. You're not going to damage the poster unless you're outrageously careless and bend it or something.
