PJ don’t like touring as much as other bands like FF and QOTSA. As they do fewer shows they are heavier on the merch side instead to make up for it. Pop up doesn’t suit PJ.gotthebottle said:

The other way to look at it, is that Pearl Jam (overall) is pretty sparse with the touring. When they to decide to play shows, they seem to want to play in as front of as many people as possible, to do more with less?0 -
Im surprised we havent heard yet. Last year the announcement dropped 4/29. This week was my bet on when we'd hear.darwinstheory said:

Because they’re no fun. Their idea of fun is pushing clearance posters on us. It’s a shame I can’t stand the foos or phish or countless other bands that always do cool shitmcgruff10 said:foo fighters are playing irving plaza and starland ballroom the next few days!!! why can't pearl jam do something like this?!?!0 -
Im with you on the foo's, I wish I understood the hype around them or how on earth they fill countless stadiums. beyond their first two records the music, imo at least, is just bang average and I couldnt be less interested in going to see them.nicknyr15 said:

Dave does have a solid aura around him (outside his recent mishaps that is) but there has to be more to it than that.
They played some club shows in the Uk last month and even driving one hour to get in seemed too much effort.0 -

Well going to their smaller shows is alot more fun than the stadiums. I went to Dave's birthday show in LA in the round and it's so intimate.... esp being on the floor. Saw 2 shows in New Orleans at the tiny Fillmore and that was a blast. I'm not thrilled with new album... it's just meh IMHO. And I'm skipping all these big stadiums since it can't really be better than the many many shows I've already seen. But they are reliable and play the hits primarily.pdalowsky said:
