The Official 2026 Tour Rumor Thread

In the past... he would never do same setlists. I'm at 96 shows now. But since this tour is a theme he is keeping it tight and predictable. It's not supposed to be a tour of hits and such... it's a protest show.njhaley1 said:
To be fair, Bruce has done almost the exact same setlist so far this tour. It's fine for those who have never seen him (last week was my first show and I knew exactly what to expect), but it's not exactly creative. In one respect, it's amazing to see people like Nils and Steve rocking as hard as they do, but in another, they're taking intermittent breaks throughout the show while someone else (like Tom) fill in.pdalowsky said:
The Bruce Springsteen comparisons are always a little tiresome.pjl44 said:
Eh...these were 22-24 songs and the shows I saw in 2008-2011 were 24-26 songs. Close enough it seems. Maybe the Earthlings shows were longer?pdalowsky said:
Yeah the days of 30 plus song sets are gone it seems, even Ed's solo shows in Japan were much shorter than years gone by.josevolution said:
Well longer sets are a thing of the past with this band even with a new drummer, Josh himself says he’s not sure of his drumming abilities but I’m sure with practice he could def do the jobnicknyr15 said:
Drums were his first instrument and he started playing at 9. Not sure what people here consider a drummer or not.josevolution said:
No offense to any drummers here but I’d rather see a true drummer step in after all we’ve been watching Matt fucking Cameron for 30 years!nicknyr15 said:
Anyone who can play drums is a drummer. You’re not limited to only one instrument.Shaindli1 said:
He's not a drummer.nicknyr15 said:
Why not?Shaindli1 said:
No, thank you.We All Believe said:Jonathan Cohen interviewed Josh recently about his new record, and asked:JC: If in some universe they asked you to play drums, would you do it?
JK: In a heartbeat. It would be the fulfillment of my dreams. The sad fact is that I don’t play enough drums these days to at least appear like I’ve got it under control. I did one full show and a smattering of other ones. For the record, I’d do it before you could even finish the question.
I play drums. MC is one of my favorite drummers ever. And Pearl Jam’s music isn’t that complicated to play on drums. MC is capable of playing way harder stuff like he did with Soundgarden. Pearl Jam basically comes down to energy and stamina. Especially if they go back to longer sets.
Bottom line: I'm glad I saw him finally, but he's not someone I would try to follow for multiple shows.
We who have followed knew not to expect the old days to come back. Ever since Broadway he likes the mostly static setlist0 -

So are we, Mike. So are we.A Compliment For Us said:eboweddie said:
Appreciate this link. May be the most concrete thing I've seen about the drummer status or lack of any.
Here are some quotes from Mike
“I think I’m kind of done with the break. I would love to get out and play again, you know. … I’m ready to go out again whenever, you know, or start working on another record. We’ve just got to find a new drummer, you know? We don’t have one.”
“We’re in the process of just talking about it, and figuring out what our next move is. … I don’t have anything concrete to tell you, because I don’t know right now. … We move very, very slowly, and then when something happens, we move quickly. So, right now, we’re kind of in our slow phase, like our Jurassic.”
“If and when we finally get a drummer, we’re gonna all get in a room together and just start creating new stuff.”0 -
with some beautiful historic venues to wet the appetite, surely that has to appeal.....surelydrfox said:
That would be fantastic. A short U.K. and Ireland tour. One date more than Japan so it is very doable. Tickets would be more in demand here as well. Come on EV, you know you want to!!! 🤣eboweddie said:Even 5 shows. Dublin. Belfast. Manchester. Glasgow. London.0 -
My last memory of seeing Ed solo was at Wembley which wasn’t a great experience (not Ed’s fault).
So a few shows in Europe would be most welcome!'F*** the pessimists. F*** 'em.' Eddie Vedder0 -
Remind me last Ed euro shows did we get limited to 1 pair per member from 10C ?0

Yes that wasnt a great experience - Ed was on too early, the place was half full at best and many around me were there only for the Who.....tino_11 said:My last memory of seeing Ed solo was at Wembley which wasn’t a great experience (not Ed’s fault).
So a few shows in Europe would be most welcome!
But Ed night 2 London 2017 can not be bettered. He delivered that night something incredible. And Glen kicked things off that night in fantastic fashion too. That show was insane.0 -

But... I get the impression that Eds Japan tour was as much about a holiday for him and Jill as it was about the shows, so I'm not sure UK and Ireland has the same appeal in a "been there, done that" type way.0 -
Hell yes. Not one of my favorite bands but definitely one of my favorite drummers. Guy is insaneeboweddie said:0 -
Well Karrie Keyes posted she hopes her band will do a proper Japan tour when they find a new drummer.0

The Beacon Perhaps. Or even further uptown, The United Palace. Neil played there in '07 and I went with my Dad.HailHailVitalogy said:The only time I saw Ed solo was 2008 somewhere uptown ManhattanRandall's Island, NY 9/29/1996, Randall's Island, NY 6/8/1997 (Ed and Mike), Jones Beach, NY 8/23/2000, Los Angeles, CA 7/10/2006, Hartford, CT 6/27/2008, Los Angeles, CA 10/6/2009, San Diego, CA 11/21/2013, Los Angeles, CA 11/24/2013, MSG, NY 5/1/2016, Seattle, WA 8/10/2018, Los Angeles, CA 5/6/2022, Los Angeles, CA 5/7/2022, Camden, NJ 9/14/2022, St Paul 8/31/2023, St Paul 9/2/2023, Las Vegas 5/18/24, MSG NY 9/3/24, Philadelphia PA 9/9/24, Ohana CA 9/27/24, Atlanta, GA 4/29/25, Pittsburgh, PA 5/16/25, Pittsburgh, PA 5/18/250
