So let's say that the band announces a show in my home city.  I get GA tickets, got time off work and going and want to go for the front of the line.

What do I do?  How do I know where to go?  How will these people know to get in line behind me if I am the first person there?  Is there like a social media group of a text chain where these things are planned?

There are scalpers in the 10C. No doubt about it. Many of them.
    Plenty and even more flippers.

I cannot blame someone for trying to make a buck these days. If you sit in line for hours to score that token, poster, or whatever, then good for you. I have no issues with people flipping merch. But 10C tickets for concerts should not be eligible for transfers or resale. If you buy, you go or eat the cost. Period. I guess the bad news is that the band seems to be less concerned with it in 2025.

I feel the same way.  In 30 years of going to concerts, I've missed may 3 or 4 of them.  I'd gladly eat a pair of tickets once a decade to make 10c tickets less disposable and tradable.

This. When it comes to tickets... no transfers should mean no transfers.  I think it would make shows easier to get and bring some new faces to the GA section.

No transfers, but if you can’t make it your tickets can go back into a lottery for people who put in for the original lottery but didn’t get chosen.

Such odd behavior for 50 somethings to engage in, but to each their own.  I mean, you can still get Eddie's sweat flung at you in the second row, along with a cool selfie, and avoid all the school age bickering.

I'm starting to think that at this point these aging crazies are almost more in it to have something to lean on, lol. I wonder if the band will last long enough for us to be able to watch them be physically unable to stand for the whole show... Are walkers allowed in GA?

GA folks can do their thing. You can get close without the nonsense of lining up. What sucks is that TM is eliminating the best reserved seats for 10C members and pushing us further back to sell premium seats. The days of a full 10C sections in the 100s next to the stage seem to be over. Member since 98.

Take away the ability to "put in" for only GA.

Take away the ability to transfer/sell 10c tickets.

    Problem solved.

We all save hours of hassle acquiring tickets, almost every 10c member would get tickets to any show they put-in for, no fans panic and pay PJ premium prices and the GA winners would shuffle.

Why it won't happen?  This would hurt PJ's bottom line.  People would cancel all their extra memberships.  10c members sitting on hundreds of tickets they plan to eventually sell would help limit the fake scarcity and ultimately hurt sales.

I don't think there was a "GA only" option this time around.

This thread is just a glaring example of how consumerism has literally consumed a few dozen fans (maybe more) to the detriment of hundreds per show. Between the merch BS and the rail roadies, it just sounds like a lot of human greed. I guess you don't have to deal with even bros and lackluster fans like the rest of the plebes in the seats.

Never been interested in camping out for rail and seats are fine with me. The one concert I did have rail for (U2 in 2005) was because my wife's cousin was a super fan who did camp out and then we showed up a few hours before. Wouldn't do that again.
I won one of the 20 early entries for a Jack White show once. It would have been super cool, except that I was sandwiched between some of the PJ rail mafia for the whole show  (they were on vacation from following PJ, and I guess had to release their obsessive energy somehow). I was stuck with them because they'd used their tried and true trick of lying their way into getting my second ticket, so I was stuck entering with them. They were the most miserable fucks I've ever had the displeasure to be near at a concert because they just could not get over the fact that the Jack White crowd was much rowdier than any PJ pit in modern times, and they felt that their precious personal space was being invaded, LOL. I'm not kidding at all.

I think they did this. Instead of GA, P1 and P2 it was GA+P1 and P2.

I got early entry to a JW show in San Francisco...dead center with my son...one of the great shows I have ever attended.  No problems with fans around me (except for a couple of hammered folks behind me who were pissed that I was in front of them- I am 6'5")...Yonder bags keeping the phones put away and the focus on the concert...stoked to hear someone else got this perk too.....

The bags are gone for this tour. Great crowd in Beantown N2 this winter and rail only required a couple of hours in line (in sub freezing temps). Only issue was the drunk lady that pushed her way to the front yelling “It’s my birthday.” Sent her back when she tried to bring a 6’4” guy in an area of 5’10” and below. The overall vibe of the crowd was similar to PJ.

I don’t think there are people sitting on hundreds of tickets.

I like the current system.  Prior to 2022 I had virtually no shot at good seats if I didn’t get invited by a low number member or want to pay scalpers.  Fan to fan didn’t work so well in 2025 but I was still able to get some good seats through it.  You can’t get good seats to any other band for that price.  And I thought it was stupid when you had to waste your tickets if you couldn’t go.  Life happens sometimes.
