Regardless of who wins, I am leaving the country on Wednesday.

Kamala will win.  Crazy that it is this close and how the far right has destroyed the party.  Mitt Romney could have easily beat Kamala, but someone like that won’t beat Trump because of the far right buffoons.

If you go, I'll say "Good luck and bon voyage."  On the other hand, if you stay, why not become active in the Republican party and be a part of a movement that is sorely needed to make that party viable again?  And remember, these things go in cycles.  I really doubt the far right will not dominate the Republican party forever.  Maybe consider being a part of the change.
And I'm not saying that being an ex-patriot is a horrible things. I know or have known a number of ex-pats and some seem happy, and others not much.   Really, unless you're really wealthy or well connected, it kind of a crap shoot.  I don't have the stats, but it seems to me the majority of ex-pats end up returning.  Seems like a lot of trouble for what could turn out to be a money drain and for an extended leave.
Although I would love to retire to Europe (which could be a ticking time bomb), I am just referring to my trip to New Zealand to see Pearl Jam on Friday.  Funny timing.

i do hope the Republican Party can reform to less crazy.  Maybe even add a few other viable parties to break up this two party crap.
Good on ya, see ya out there on the 10th in NZ.   Keep an eye out for a small blond w/ a guy 6’6 most likely wearing his Cubs hat he always wears at PJ shows.  Safe travels, it’s gonna be awesome few weeks down under….hope you surf!!
Make it easy for them, wear your MAGAT hats and flags like capes. Get tricked out. NZ loves POOTWH. Who knows? Maybe Eddie will call you up on stage for some ukulele songs? Mahalo.

I've got 11 rounds of golf scheduled on the trip.  Will only be at the show on the 8th, and then one show each in Sydney and Melbourne.  Have a great time!

If you are a state that can't report the results by midnight local time, you need to fix your system.  Period.

I don't think that's happened for most states for quite some time.
It's pointless to worry this early in the game.
I hate it when I do something that is pointless. :weary:

I'm trying not to watch that data too often.  (I know, good luck with that, haha!)

Population?  Complexity of the world we live in?  Dunno.

It was a pipe dream for states like OH, FL or IN to be blue. So far, everything looks as expected.
    It's a hopeless situation...

    Harris badly underperforming in VA.
Exit polls show most voters with unfavorable view of current administration. Sure sign of incumbent party going down.
    This thing is over.

No, I don't think so yet.  The vote % in Henrico, Alexandria, Fairfax are all still relatively low.  These are the strongholds and high population centers.  Biden was behind at this time in 2020 as well.  She isn't going to lose VA.  It's all about PA.

Also, Hampton Roads and the rest of the Tidewater is still very low.  That's actually higher population than NOVA.

No one seems to recall the Penn vote is what got MAGA's all up in arms about "the steal". Trump blathered on and on about how it was impossible for him to be so far ahead at 9pm then later on in the night he was obliterated.

Not saying she'll lose VA, but she's performing Hillary like numbers which is a very bad sign.
