One thing I've found interesting this election cycle, the lack of conversation around gun policy/reform. The right isn't stoking fear about radical liberals coming for them and the left isn't bringing up mass shootings to push for reform. Summer's over though, so I'm sure something will happen to bring it to the front again.

Wait, so people hate a politician who has policies they don't like, and they also hate politicians who adjust their policies based on the feedback of a large majority of voters 🤔 . Seems like a lose/lose with those people. I don't understand why all politicians wouldn't try to govern effectively by adapting their positions within what feels authentic to their own beliefs? I think any intelligent person understands that you can't always get what you want but if you....

The problem is it is often seen as insincere, and therefore not something they will likely stand behind when the time comes.
Changing political views because you listen to the voice of the people and want to represent them better is one thing. Making statements that you don't believe in to gain votes is another.

He is the most extreme example of someone saying whatever he thinks voters want to hear in order to get elected yet I do not remember seeing you saying anything about that. The guy used to be pro-choice. He used to make jokes about aborting his daughter on the Howard Stern show. He went from that....to nominating the most conservative pro life Supreme court in recent memory who dismantled a woman's right to choose in this country. 

Kamala moving from the left to the middle is no different than what any other politician does after the primaries are over and they need to appeal to a wider audience for the general election. That's been the norm forever. What Donald Trump has done is completely reinvent himself in order to fool 46% of the voting public. As someone who seems to lean to the right, that's not a little frustrating? The guy has been pandering for your vote for a decade now.

a good measure of where she is/was/mightbe is to look at her senate races and what was said for those vs now.

The difference is I haven't seen anyone defend trump on switching, so I'm not going to respond to something no one ever said.
Someone defends Kamala for changing, and I'll comment that's why people don't like politicians, most of us realize they don't mean it when they change. Nothing I said was specific to Kamala or the left. If someone defends trump or anyone on the right for flopping and I'll say the same thing.  But I cant respond to a comment that was never made.

Please.  You're not naive enough to think that Fox or whoever will spin whatever she says.  Take the price-gouging.  That's a law in many states, including Alabama and Florida due to the hurricanes.  Yet, it took Fox one minute to call it "price controls".
