Also, I feel like for a guy who tried to overthrow an election by causing a riot, who said he’s gonna be a dictator for a day on day one, made some sort of weird remark about people not having to vote in another election, it’s a weird time to ‘both sides’ shit.

That’s why I don’t think people who are undecided or on the fence are being genuine or honest to themselves about their position.
Easier to go to psychoanalysis than reckon with Dems not being able to wipe the floor with the person described in the first paragraph
Don’t get me wrong, I try to reckon why Dems aren’t running away with this. And all I do is come back to how broken some peoples brains are.

Yes the lack of awareness and attention is scary. I can understand a tight race between Harris/Romney or Harris/Haley, etc., but no one should lose to a piece of shit like trump.

just says a lot that Trump is even under consideration
For the record "not voting for Dem X" means "skipping President and voting for everything else" not "voting for Trump"

yeah, sorry but how you could vote for Shapiro and not Harris but maybe trump is off in some bizarro universe
I get how someone would happily vote for either but am equally perplexed that one sees them as similar

Tribalism is a real thing.  Couple that with three decades of media bubble, where the Rush, Fox and the whole ecosystem has been telling them Democrats are evil communists and do NOT trust anyone but us for your information.  That long strategy has worked and it makes it very hard to move people, even when the opponent literally caused a riot at the Capitol.  It's sickening.
From Letter From An American. Faux viewers are not living in reality. You see the posts here everyday that exhibit it.

It wasn’t just Trump who was concerned about the Democratic National Convention. A number of prominent Republicans who will be voting for Harris spoke there, providing a permission structure for other Republicans to shift their support to Harris and Walz. But that message did not make it through to viewers of the Fox News Channel. Media Matters, which monitors right-wing media, reported that the Fox News Channel did not air any of the Republicans’ DNC speeches.

I have voted Libertarian for President every year since 04. Don't feel great about all of them in hindsight but also didn't feel great about the other options.

I haven't voted for Trump and it would have to be a catastrophic D scenario for me to even consider it. The Biden situation was catastrophic. I'm frankly a little uneasy that Harris isn't President right now.

Kamala pivoted left on several policy positions in 2020 because of the success Bernie had in 2016. She thought she could thread the needle and appeal to both center left Dems and the far left. She missed. Politically, like most Dems, they know the middle is where to govern, but you win elections by appealing to as wide of a group as possible.

At the end of the day Democrats are boring af, do just enough to get by, and try to stay the course.

She should put those centrist positions on her website! Sit down with a journalist and explain these delightfully moderate views!

I agree. But also, ride the vibes and polls out. There’s so much wind at her back and Trump is flopping. Let him make unforced errors.

I agree.  Why give fodder for right now? Let her be a mystery until she can't.

In reality, her Admin is basically gonna be an extension of Biden’s.

The Economy is headed in the right direction, Ukraine is what it is, there are infrastructure plans, and environmental damage mitigation.

Israel is the only sticking point and she’s signaled she will be firmer with Bibi.

Too cynical for me and a bit of a tightrope walk with current polling. It's very telling subtext that "supporters" think her campaign is better off if she's not tested.

The testing is inevitable. Historically, people only start paying attention now ish.

Please.  You're not naive enough to think that Fox or whoever will spin whatever she says.  Take the price-gouging.  That's a law in many states, including Alabama and Florida due to the hurricanes.  Yet, it took Fox one minute to call it "price controls".
