Wow.
That said... for context here and while I can't say this for sure, I'm confident in this... in Canada we generally got tired of attack ads on TV and what not. This made the news here quite frequently and at the time during the election campaign our Conservatives were going hard attacking the Liberal Justin Trudeau while Trudeau didn't say peep about his opponent. Instead, his campaign was about making himself look good and focusing on his platform. He destroyed that election in a landslide. Since, he's proven to be quite awful.... but at least at the time, he knew not to focus so heavily on attacking his opponent. Trump is the complete opposite. So much so that he's whining like a fucking baby who needs a bottle that he has to campaign against someone else. Sad.
And he's not concerned about that? Makes absolutely no sense.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

However, I will say, many are so blinded by a "party" that regardless of the candidate they will just throw support their way. Again, I am voting for Trump. I don't agree with everything. I know he's failed in some key areas. I know he's been successful in key areas.
For Harris, I really don't understand how anyone can be ok with her being given the candidacy without proper process and voice from the American people. How does one go from not being able to gain one delegate to now being given the opportunity for one of the most powerful positions on the planet. Her track record as a DA, her track record as a Senator and of course her job with the border were very underwhelming and concerning for me.jesus greets me looks just like me ....0 -

As for her being vetted.... she's been the #2 for like 3 years now.
I'm curious... what more proper process do you expect here?
And you seriously don't consider her to be a better candidate politically? A former District Attorney, Senator, Vice President? She did all those things before getting a nomination. And for what it's worth, seems like a somewhat decent human.
Trump on the other hand ran a corrupt charity, a corrupt university, a corrupt / cheating business, was a TV host, WWE Hall of Famer, ran a beauty pageant (from what I understand feel free to fact check), and had a cameo in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. And for what it's worth... cheated on his wife with a porn star, cheats on his taxes, cheats on his valuations, said he can grab women by the pussy because he's famous, amongst the many scummy things he has said and done.
But you're a Trump voter. Help me understand what you're getting at. What did Trump accomplish in his tenure as President?
He helped the rich get richer.
He built a few miles of the border wall he promised... which to the best of my knowledge actually wasn't paid for by Mexico.
He pulled troops from Asia which I give him credit for.... although he then offered those same troops to Saudi Arabia for a price... quite literally admitting that he didn't mind using the US Military as mercenaries for hire.
He promised to levy tariffs on Canada to bolster the steel industry in America only to flat out not do that when literally anyone with half a brain told him that would be a bad idea and have massively negative affects on agriculture.
He fumbled the pandemic. Did more whining than leading with the exception of trying to recommend humans literally drink fucking bleach.
He encouraged a coup. And when he told his batshit crazy supporters to march to the capitol IN HIS NAME, he told them he would be there too.... which of course he wasn't.
The list goes on... but that's the bad.... give me the good.
I'm being open minded about what he did. What did he do in his 4 years in office that made America better? Thank you in advance for teaching me. I'm open to things I may not have known about.Toronto 2000

No wonder Elongitaint and POOTWH are freaking out. They thought they had the “dem controlled” tech industry sidelined. Oopsy.
The boom in Democratic giving also follows a flood of announcements by major Silicon Valley donors that they were going to spend big to back Trump as Biden struggled to allay concerns about his health. Venture capitalist Marc Andreessen announced his support for Trump by saying Biden hadn’t made a big enough effort to build a relationship with the tech industry.
That criticism doesn’t apply to Harris at all, said Chris Kelly, a former Facebook chief privacy officer who ran against Harris for California attorney general in 2010 and is now a co-owner of the Sacramento Kings NBA team. He supports Harris’s run for president and plans to donate to her campaign. She is from the Bay Area and has a long history of interacting with and working with the tech industry, he said Tuesday. That makes people in Silicon Valley a lot more comfortable, Kelly said.
“Kamala Harris will have an open door and a willingness to reconsider some of the mistakes of this administration,” he said.

Parts of Harris’s old donor network — which has operated for years largely as a subset of Biden’s machine — held a donor call Monday that included multiple people from her 2020 presidential campaign’s finance committee.
“My sense is the donor community is so ready to get this done. We are so stoked and relieved,” said Susie Tompkins Buell, a major donor in the San Francisco Bay Area.
“I haven’t spoken to anyone who feels otherwise,” she added. “Women are on fire.”
Way to Win, a Democratic donor network devoted to winning the House, Senate and White House this year, also reported a boost in enthusiasm, hinging in part on the expectation that Democrats once again could have a path to winning the more southern battlegrounds of Nevada, Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina.
“We got people coming in who had not committed for this cycle. And people who have committed, committing more,” said Jenifer Fernandez Ancona, a co-founder of the group. “A lot of people were saying the Sun Belt states were out of play. The Sun Belt is absolutely in play.”

You can just say you don't understand the role of the Vice President.
Instead of continuing to embarrass yourself.
Delegates to the constitutional convention approved establishing the office, with both its executive and senatorial functions, not many understood the office, and so they gave the vice president few duties and little power.- "President of the Senate", authorizing the vice president to preside over Senate meetings.
- As president of the Senate, the vice president may preside over most impeachment trials of federal officers, although the Constitution does not specifically require it.
- The vice president, in their capacity as the president of the Senate, receives the Electoral College votes, and then, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, opens the sealed votes
- The vice president takes over the "powers and duties" of the presidency in the event of a president's removal, death, resignation, or inability.
- Acting president for situations where the president is temporarily or permanently unable to lead. (When invoked on November 19, 2021, Kamala Harris became the first woman in U.S. history to have presidential powers and duties.)
To your point , Vice President Kamala Harris has fulfilled each and every one of the responsibilities with dignity & integrity.

I think it should be this simple for everyone: Donald Trump, even if you overlook the litany of horrible things he did before, during and after his presidency, attempted to prevent his successor from taking office. That's it. End of discussion. You are voting for a man who literally tried to end democracy as we know it. He essentially tried to overturn my vote and tens of millions of other votes.
You may disagree with literally everything Harris stands for...but you can always beat her again in four years and have your side institute your own policies again.
But if you help elect Trump....congrats, you've played your part in ending the great American Experiment.www.myspace.com0 -

How did she fare when tasked to get to the root cause of our immigration problems? How did she fare in immigration reform? She is part of the administration, correct? This would mean she is part of the problem, correct?

However, I will say, many are so blinded by a "party" that regardless of the candidate they will just throw support their way. Again, I am voting for Trump. I don't agree with everything. I know he's failed in some key areas. I know he's been successful in key areas.
For Harris, I really don't understand how anyone can be ok with her being given the candidacy without proper process and voice from the American people. How does one go from not being able to gain one delegate to now being given the opportunity for one of the most powerful positions on the planet. Her track record as a DA, her track record as a Senator and of course her job with the border were very underwhelming and concerning for me.

You make a lot of assumptions here:
For starters, I'm sure we disagree on what "immigration problems' means.
And what "immigration reform" looks like.
You can just say you don't understand the role of the Vice President.
Instead of continuing to embarrass yourself.

She wasn't the immigration Czar you know? She was never put in charge of the border.Post edited by Kat onRemember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)
