This is better for those of us who dont want Trump.  Biden was unfit for another election.  I would have voted for him, in a heartbeat, over the serial raper/russian plant/fake billionaire, but he was a joke of a candidate.

Hope it is not Harris.  Her policies are wayyy too far left for anything I would normally consider, in a non-Trump world.
If it is her, I will vote for her and fuck my wallet & overall views.  Anything to stop the monster and his hordes.
Wish we could time machine back to politics pre-Clinton.
What policies of her are too far left? Genuine question as I know nothing about her pre VP
She basically lead San Francisco down it's path of self destruction. Those are her people.

So a vote for Kamala is a vote for free reign looting, robbery, heroin needles everywhere, free hotels for junkies, shitting in the streets, and almost no punishment for criminals.  Raping little kids is also okay in california since they have their pro pedophile movement going on. Is that too far left? I think so.
All those things happened when trump was potus too man

For me, I don't like that she was over with Bernie in the "give everything to everyone" crowd.
I'm a traditional conservative who only votes left because I have an actual heart and can't just go along with the Christian and Gun crazies in order to benefit my wallet.  I'm in the top tax bracket and Harris wants all of our money.
That being said, I am pro-people, pro humanity, pro choice, even though I think most peiple are morons, and so my choice is easy.  I will vote for whomever opposes Trump and light money on fire if they win.
    Thanks for your genuine answer

As someone who’s neither Republican or Democrat, Kamala is a losing choice. Leave her at VP so they can keep the campaign funds already raised but pick someone better to lead the ticket.

Interesting that Biden and the Clintons endorsed Harris but Obama doesn't

Because he knows what he says will make or break any candidate. I'm glad he's not specifically endorsing anyone quite yet. Let this play out for a week or two first.
    It's a hopeless situation...

Agree with you completely but it's interesting that the Clintons don't feel that way

There’s basically 2 arguments I keep hearing for Harris.
One is, you can’t pass up the first black female vp and replace her with a white man. And if she’s on the ticket, you get all of Biden’s campaign funds.

Sonny question is, if they end up replacing Biden and keeping Harris as VP, would she not keep that money?
Her name is still attached to the ticket if she remains VP.

Looks like you already answered my question above? Do you know that for sure is true? I haven’t heard anyone suggest it, but seems like an obvious option.

I don't see why Harris would accept being someone else's VP. Feels like now or never for her.

I don’t know it for a fact but what I heard was that as long as she is on the ticket they will have access to those funds. I think it was on Fox News. I flip around from one news channel to the next when there’s breaking news.

    I’d get behind RFK Jr.
I’d far prefer him than any other names thrown around.

But I doubt the dems would take him back.

What a pathetic loser Joe Biden! Next comes the 25th amendment. If you’re unfit to run for President how can you continue to serve?

How can it not be Harris now? The party of diversity? The party of cancel culture? It could be the most racist move ever bypassing her. But it’s the Democrats so I guess it will be George Clooney deciding.

Dropping out of the election doesn’t necessarily mean he has to be removed from office with 6 months left. Winning the election means you’ve got a job for 4 more years. Not sure why the MAGA nuts can’t comprehend this. Also, what good does that do you to have Kamala as POTUS the next 6 months? Or maybe you think it’s a possibility a Republican can take over now? It’s a waste of energy that doesn’t really help you any.

Good words today from Dan Rather:

Americans, every one of us, are about to be tested as never before. We have always been known for our ability to rise above challenges. This will be one for the ages. I have hope and faith that we are up to it. We had better be. Democracy as we have known it depends on us.

First and foremost, we all need to take a deep breath and understand what is ahead of us. Although Biden’s decision has been in the works for weeks, it is still shocking, so please support each other as we all grapple with what this means. With President Biden bowing out, the next 107 days will be unlike any presidential campaign in American history. If you can, I recommend getting involved real quick, or at least paying very close attention to the news and this space. And talk to all of your friends and family.

God love Joe Biden. He saved this country four years ago, and he is trying to do so again today. Biden’s legacy is now secure, from his legislative accomplishments to making the hardest political decision of his life.

There are two paths forward. To avoid chaos at the convention in Chicago, Democrats would need to get behind Vice President Kamala Harris. The other option is to hold an open convention, allowing delegates to choose among anyone who throws their hat in the ring. Be prepared. This will not be a smooth process. Real democracy is never easy.

For all who have been clamoring for a jolt of energy into presidential politics, here you go. Americans who have been asking for a different choice will now have it.

The hope of many Americans of varying political persuasions is that whichever way the convention goes, the new Democratic nominee will quickly unify the party, bring back anyone who has been disenchanted by the campaign so far, and appeal to those who have yet to decide.

We must not lose sight of the end game: to defeat the new autocrats and their leader, a convicted felon and an insurrectionist, who is fundamentally dangerous for the country.

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin is considering re-registering as a Democrat so he can run for president.

Fox News confirmed Manchin, who in May left the Democratic Party and registered as an Independent, said Sunday he is considering re-registering with his original party and running for president.

Manchin said he was considering the party switch and throwing his hat in the ring for President, "Even just to have the discussion of bringing the party back to center," Fox News' Bret Baier posted on X.

Fox News' Aishah Hasnie contributed to this report.

I’d far prefer him than any other names thrown around.

But I doubt the dems would take him back.
Lol, holy shit. Are you actually up to date on RFK Jr news? I’m guessing no. Either that or you’re a crazy anti-vaxx nutjob.
I haven’t followed him too closely since he wasn’t really in the running. I’ve  liked some of his talking points, but didn’t know he was anti-vax.
WHAT?! His biggest calling card is being anti-vaxx. He’s good buddies with the Jets QB. And that was before the recent developments.

She’s been part of the cover up of Slow Joe. Let’s let Kamala take over and see how she does. Maybe a 5 month audition wins us all over.
What could she realistically do in 3-4 months before the election as POTUS to change anyone’s mind?
    I don’t know…..maybe……. Her Job!
And what job exactly would that be? I need more than “be President” to even start to take you seriously.
