That's me.  Excited to see Alanis, seen her before and she great.  Excited to see Garbage, never saw them before.

Yeah, some of us had plans to do Friday and Sunday because of Alanis and Garbage, so making those days weaker isn't going to help things.

If it didn't miss off a bunch of people, put Smashing Pumpkins as the opener in San Diego and have them drive up.

Johnny Marr is not only a good choice (great guitarist), affiliated with both PJ and Crowded House; he's touring this summer/fall. He's in LA Sept 25 & 26, and Austin 9/29. A bit of a tight schedule, but Ohana 9/28 could fit in, its on the way.

And of course my other strong choice, Jack White, is headlining the Saturday of a 3 day Korean festival in Aug, which Kim Gordon is also playing. Maybe she can talk to him. Seems like he's up for a few gigs this summer.

Johnny Marr is more like a 2:30 slot person.  Jack White agreed.

As I mentioned pages back, Paul Weller also wraps up his US tour in SoCal that week, although I think he has a show on Saturday. He's a headliner in the UK, admittedly probably not here; he's also a terrific live act.

And I'd definitely pay to see Johnny Marr in the headliner spot, he's tremendously talented. He's like The Smiths without the annoying petulance and diva behavior, LOL.

Love Johnny, but he's not a headliner. 2:30 seems apt.

Pitching John Fogerty & his Travelin' Band again. Similar vibe, and Fortunate Son has been played by PJ several times. Might look like this:

    Bad Moon Rising
    Up Around The Bend
Green River (feat. Stone & Jeff)😉
    Born on the Bayou
    Who'll Stop The Rain
    Lookin' Out My Back Door
    Rock n' Roll Girls
    Hey Tonight
    Joy of My Life
Keep On Chooglin' (or Ramble Tamble)
Have You Ever Seen The Rain?
Centerfield (with Ed on Tambo & a baseball cap)
    Down On The Corner
The Old Man Down The Road
Fortunate Son (with Ed & Mike)

    Travelin' Band
    Proud Mary (all-star lineup)

    That'd be a fuckin' BLAST

Damn, with Lucinda Williams. Nice fallback for someone who bailed on the Neil-less day.

Imagine the remaining Heartbreakers, with a who's who of singers at Ohana doing Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers tunes.

    - Ed on The Waiting & a proper Won't Back Down
    - Shirley Manson on Breakdown, or Don't Come Around Here No More
    - Alanis on American (Canadian) Girl
    - Glen on Free Fallin'
    - The Finns on Refugee
    - Cat Power doing anything from Wildflowers

And on & on & on...

I vote they go the opposite direction and infuse some energy into the festival by booking some younger bands.  Maybe Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Royal Blood, Turnstile, etc
