And that's ok too. Travelling is half the fun. Going to different or favorite places and meeting wonderful people along the way. It's the ancient Deadhead in me, some things never change.ally12 said:

At this point, it’s not just about the dollar and the economics. It’s about being united as a country and supporting what we have at home. BC and east coast provinces will most likely see a boom in tourism in the spring/sumner.yanknuck said:As a American living in Canada, I'm still looking forward to Pittsburgh. But with the tanking Canadian dollar, it'll be damn expensive. With any luck this will blow over by May. Fingers crossedI definitely understand where you're coming from. We do need to stand up for ourselves and not be backed into a corner. My comment was really aimed at touring costs. With any luck we'll get some Canadian shows 0 0

            It would be nice to know if these spring shows are it for the US or not. If so, then I'll make an effort to go to a couple of the shows already announced.1993 - Dallas ~~~ 1995 - Red Rocks I & II | Austin ~~~ 1998 - St Louis | Kansas City | Dallas | Raleigh | Atlanta | Birmingham | Greenville | Knoxville | Virginia Beach ~~~ 2000 - New Orleans | Memphis | Nashville | Noblesville | Cincinnati | Columbus | Houston I & II | Dallas | Las Vegas | LA | San Diego | San Bernardino | Sacramento | San Francisco ~~~ 2003 - OKC | San Antonio | Houston | Dallas | Little Rock | Camden I & II | MSG I & II ~~~ 2004 - Boston I & II | St Louis ~~~ 2005 - Gorge | Vancouver | Kitchener | London | Hamilton ~~~ 2006 - Las Vegas | Gorge I & II | Honolulu ~~~ 2008 - MSG I & II ~~~ 2009 - Seattle I & II | Vancouver | Portland | ACL | Philly I-IV ~~~ 2010 - Kansas City | St Louis ~~~ 2011 - PJ20 I & II ~~~ 2013 - Wrigley | Dallas | OKC ~~~ 2014 - ACL I | Tulsa | Moline | St Paul | Milwaukee | Denver ~~~ 2022 - OKC ~~~ 2023 - FW I & II | Austin I & II ~~~ 2024 - Seattle I & II

Look at it this way: the future is never guaranteed. At Springsteen on Broadway, the usher had this high intensity light that he would shine right back into your eyes and phone. You were warned!MM70435 said:I love this thread and how the topics bounce all over the place. It is sort of like a chat room. Going back a few pages about the no phone policy at certain shows. How is that even enforced? Is security all over the place giving people warnings? Escorting people out? Are people just aware of the policy and it is not an issue? Or are you just not allowed to bring in a phone into the venue at all? With mobile phone only tickets how is that even possible?
I sat behind Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. They did not take out their phones.0

I was at an EV solo show in Germany where the ushers tapped people on the shoulder if using phones. It was kind of implied you only got one warning. Then on the same tour, in Dublin, same rules, practically the entire crowd had their phones out and nobody cared.PJ: 2013: London (ON); Buffalo; 2014: Cincinnati; 2016: Sunrise, Miami, Toronto 1-2, Wrigley 2; 2018: London (UK) 1, Milan, Padova, Sea 2, Wrigley 1-2, Fenway 1-2; 2021: SHN, Ohana, Ohana Encore 1-2; 2022: LA 1-2, Phx, Oak 1-2, Fresno, Copenhagen, Hyde Park 1-2; Quebec, Ottawa, Hamilton, Toronto; MSG, Camden, Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, OKC; 2023: St. Paul 1-2, Chicago 1-2; Fort Worth 2; Austin 1-2; 2024: Vancouver 1-2, LV 1-2, LA 1-2, Napa, Barcelona 1-2; Indy; Chicago 1-2; MSG 1-2; Philly 2; Boston 2; Ohana 1-2; 2025: FL 1-2, ATL 1-2, Nash 1-2, Pit 1-2.

Had to shush a guy at the David Gray concert in Chicago yesterday who continued to talk during each song, but then also wanted to be the "shout out loud at the performer" guy in-between songs. Dude was drunk, looked a bit tweaky from drugs.
Shut the fuck up, man. Look, if you are into the music and randomly "woo!" or scream out a lyric...I get it...in the moment the passion can take over.
Screaming out, "YOu are why we make babies" at a singer during a performance just proves you are there to make the concert about yourself. Again, stfu and control your impulses.

"Wooing" is often telling. A lot of times, it's just someone trying to call attention to the fact that they recognize the song. It can be like an internet poster posting "First!" Other times, it's an acknowledgment of a great solo-- that the "Woo" drowns out.Vedd Hedd said:Had to shush a guy at the David Gray concert in Chicago yesterday who continued to talk during each song, but then also wanted to be the "shout out loud at the performer" guy in-between songs. I was front row at a David Gray show at a small, indoor theater. I brought my friend, who gets up for work at 3am. So, she had been up all day, and it was nearing 11p. After the encore break, DG and the band came back out. And just as they were about to start playing again, I looked over at my friend. She looked absolutely beat. So, I leaned in and jokingly said, "Don't fall asleep now." Well, David somehow heard that and took it out of context. He turns and shoots me a dirty look and says into the mic quite tersely, "Okay then." because he thought I was implying that the show was boring. I was mortified.
I ended up getting a setlist after the show, and the next song was supposed to be Silver Lining. But they skipped it. To this day, I still wonder if it was because of me. 0 0

The only appropriate time to “woo!” is when someone gets chopped in wrestling. Or when your a limousine riding, jet flying, kiss stealing, wheeling n dealing, son of a gun..BF25394 said:

I'm always worried that if I sing at a concert
 1. I'll get the lyrics wrong
 2. My lack of any talent would annoy the shit out of everyone around me.#Grievance20250

that is a really great story aisleseats. Stories like this are why I like this thread. If my mind serves me correctly I think you also had a good story about a real tall guy at the Hollywood Bowl. (it may have been someone else)aisleseats said:
