That is often - but not always - true.  Also you have to keep in mind the ticket is a physical wristband so unlike e-tickets you need to coordinate the logistics at least a little in advance.

Of course the hack of all hacks if you want to hear the show but don’t care about seeing it is to hang out on the beach for free.  I did that for one night one year and it was fun.  Ed usually gives a shout out to the beach bums.

im not advocating anything for free...but ive been burnt on this F2F BS on not being able to unload a ticket at 7pm due to GA Upgrade, know many burnt on checking out on Premiums too quick, Filter reset MAGICALLY .not able to unload

so its good to pass info on, so maybe we can offset some loses, nice for us Little guys and gals to win every so often

    so again

Dont buy Ohana till week of...you will 100% get it for what it is day of presale
    90% lil cheaper
    50% 1/2 off
    25% 1/4 price
    10% for some merch

    Especially if PJ aint there....

    Just looking out....

I’ve always been curious….Do PJ songs heard by the sand people count as songs seen live? 🤔 😆

Ok, but I really need the people in the know to give us more info on that EV fall tour - dates, cities?
Or better yet, an official announcement and ticket sales.

I need something to look forward to.
Yes. I got a ticket for N1 of Ohana, but a tour announcement would be great.
Same here, Ohana N1 booked. Hotel around the Irvine Spectrum area and flights with points. Tour would be great, I'd maybe rather see them in a separate show than on that beach. Too much drinking is what happens there every freaking time :D

As I think someone noted, this is only when PJ isn't playing. I was scrambling to find an extra wristband for Sunday last year and couldn't find anything south of ~$250. For Saturday night with sting, on the other hand, you could have probably picked up something in either LA or OC on the way down to Dana Point for pennies on the dollar.

This is exactly where I am at. Hearing Ed was putting out a new solo album had me beyond excited......then came the singles, and then the whole album. It just never flicked my switch and I havent heard it since.

Ed Solo shows were an absolute thing of beauty though. I'd happily go see him solo any time at all
me too. Eathlings record did zero for me.

I haven’t listened to it again after the first time through it. Invincible is a top tier song though. I kind of wish he saved that for PJ to be honest.

Brother the Cloud is very special to me. PJ radio incidentally played it on the first anniversary of my own brother's death this past December.

(So you know my song request for this rumored tour)

Surprised by the lack of love for Earthling. A few great songs on there - Invincible, Brother the Cloud, Long Way, Rose of Jericho, Mrs Mills… Would be very happy to get a handful of U.K./Euro dates at some point

I like Take the Long Way and Drive (while I know Drive is a cover but it’s still good when they do it).  They usually play Porch and some other PJ stuff and an occasional Society or Into the Wild track.  It’s good stuff.

Chad Smith has such a great groove and when they play PJ songs, he puts his own spice to it that's refreshingly different than Matt Cameron's typical playing style.

I wonder if Chad will be at Ohana. Two years ago he had Paul McCartney’s drummer playing with the Earthlings at Ohana instead. But I think the chili peppers may have been on tour at the time

I wanted to love it but the Long Way just seemed as dull as dishwater. I must have had it on loop for a few days waiting for the penny to drop and for it all to click but it just never did

and whilst I agree with Invincible being a fantastic tune I have a hard time getting past 'are you ready for a bit of echo victor'. God no.

I just think Ed Ved solo and PJ leave the bar so damn high its nigh on impossible to hit that every time.

If they announce PJ dates in Europe I'd be absolutely bouncing off the walls. If Ed came with his acoustic guitar I'd be bouncing off the walls. If the Earthlings came I would still be happy but it would be like say Live announcing a few shows over here - I'd definitely want to see them but Im not convinced Id need to do multiple shows if that sense.

But any EV is better than no EV, especially if we genuinely do have a drought ahead.

Spot on!  Obviously we'd all prefer a full PJ Euro tour but that's looking like we will need to be patient for a while...

For EV I fear we may be wish-casting a bit here.  Earthlings dates around Ohana seem fairly likely and the rumours of an EV tour to Oz are very credible but that might well be it for a while.   So we Europeans might well need to get on a plane if we want to see anything in the next year or so.  If only Ohana wasn't such an expensive trip from Europe...
