If history repeats itself, we'll hear more concrete rumors of cities and dates before any official announcement is made, so I can't imagine there's anything imminent.
The 2022 EV & Earthlings shows weren't announced until late August  :o

    1. August???? I'll die from the anxiety until then!

    2. I like those dates and would be elated if they repeated them. October 7 is my birthday. I just want different cities (Seattle and Portland).
Seriously..thats too long of a wait.
It would make travel much harder to plan

    💯

You never know what goes on in others' lives and how much comfort they find in live music. I don't understand the judgemental tone of some.

What happened with the Solider Field thing that some were convinced was happening this year?
Was a wish more than a rumor

I saw AC/DC at Soldier Field last weekend (partly out of post PJ depression).  It was a surprisingly good concert venue.

We saw the Grateful Dead there in 2015. The venue was ok, getting there is not great. They need better access to the L lines.

I was able to stay within walking distance thanks to points.  Otherwise yes it would have been a difficult set of logistics to pull off.

I can appreciate that, and I’m no different.

As much as it sucks to say, I wouldn’t hold your breath on this announcement coming anytime soon.

I recommend everyone fills their diaries with some other concerts. Lots of great bands touring both sides of the Atlantic over the Summer and rest of the year (QOTSA, Oasis, Wolf Alice etc etc). Yes, not as good as having a future PJ concert to go to, but definitely does help!

    Sage advice.

I wish the QOTSA Boston shows were a few more weeks out... I'm still riding high from the PJ shows I saw this spring, I wouldn't mind pacing out my concerts a little more. After QOTSA I don't have anything until late August.

For sure - I’ve got some tickets to some stuff over the summer and there will be some good shows for sure.  Still, it’s just biding time…

I saw MJ Lenderman & The Wind a couple weeks ago and recommend them highly. Pixies & Spoon are touring together in the fall. So are Modest Mouse & Built to Spill. Keeping my fingers crossed for The Cure or The Hotelier. There’s always someone awesome to see.

Surprised by the lack of love for Earthling. A few great songs on there - Invincible, Brother the Cloud, Long Way, Rose of Jericho, Mrs Mills… Would be very happy to get a handful of U.K./Euro dates at some point

Their cover of Pete Townshend's Give Blood is fantastic!

If they do play a date or two in Eastern Canada, will make the trip.

I have a GA ticket for uncle Neil in NH for late August & a decent seated for Billy Strings in Albany for November.

What I really want is s ticket for the Tribeca film premier and Ed's acoustic set in NYC but that's a tall order. I need a miracle basically.

I second the MJ Lenderman recommendation.  Saw him this past fall and he was great.

Bad Religion still brings it. They doubled with Social Distortion last summer and were by far the better band. The canceled the fall tour for health reason which was a bummer because the show was actually in my home town so no traveling. The Pixies are also still very good. It’s weird seeing all three bands (and QOTSA) separately in a swamp in South Carolina in 2024. Plus side all GA!

Yes, we were supposed to go to that show, huge bummer. Unfortunately this time around they’re not going to be as close. Hoping to convince my husband we need a trip to Bend. He LOVES BR so it might not be that hard 😂

Some have been popping up on StubHub, I know a couple people who bought them in the last week or so. The email confirmation also said there will be first come first serve day of tickets if you want to go anyway and try to get in!

Not sure I want to gamble and travel all the way to NYC without a ticket.

I actually have never been to Bend, despite living in PNW for 22 years. I think it’s a sign that we should go to the show.

For sure! Good food/drink, hiking and pretty close to Crater Lake (closing after this year for 2 years) and some really interesting volcanic sites.
