i fully believe Ed with do a euro tour next year with or without Earthlings
I am thinking you would normally expect EV to do something somewhere next year. I may be wrong but I think 2001/2 (with the exception of Covid in 2020) was the last time with no PJ or EV solo tour? I get the impression that something is done every year to keep the PJ/EV crew and 10c busy for the year.
Since it’s the main tour thread, and it’s too dumb a
question to make a separate thread, I’d thought I’d ask the crew here. Someone
at work who knows I’m the pearl jam dude asked me why they never did Woodstock 94
or 99? And I honestly have no idea why – so many of their friends played on
those festivals. Now of course ’99 was as disaster in retrospect with some truly
terrible stories, but I always wondered how they didn’t play at the very least the
’94 version. Anyone know?
To put it back somewhat on thread integrity – I can really
appreciate how the usual reliable sources are cautious with info. I had info in
September 2024 about multiple shows in May 2025 that I was sworn to secrecy out
of respect for their source, and it ended up not happening after all! I’m
really hoping that a Canadian East Coast tour happens sooner rather than later
- at least a QUE-OTT-MTL-TOR leg while Dark Matter is still relatively fresh 😊

They had so much fun and projected so much joy during the recent shows that I am optimistic for future music and tours. I think we may see a year of solo project work,,,but I would bet on new PJ in 2027. Absolutely grateful for all that I have experienced through the band and PJ family over the difficult last two years....bless you all for all of the gifts.

Woodstock 1994 - probably as simple as the band was not touring at that time.
Curious if you’re able to share now what was slated for May 2025? There was noise of Toronto x2 but I’d love to know if anything else was lined up.
2003 - June 15 Fargo 2005 - Sept 1 George, Sept 8 Winnipeg 2006 - May 9/10 Toronto, June 26/27 St. Paul, July 22/23 George, Oct 21/22 Mountain View 2007 - Aug 2/5 Chicago 2008 - June 22 Washington, June 24/25 New York 2009 - Aug 21 Toronto, Aug 23/24 Chicago, Sept 21/22 Seattle, Oct 27/28/30/31 Philadelphia 2010 - May 15 Hartford, May 17 Boston, Oct 23/24 Mountain View 2011 - Sept 3/4 Alpine Valley, Sept 11/12 Toronto, Sept 17 Winnipeg, Sept 19 Saskatoon 2012 - Sept 30 Missoula 2013 - July 16 London, July 19 Chicago, Oct 12 Buffalo, Dec 2 Calgary, Dec 4 Vancouver, Dec 6 Seattle 2014 - Oct 16 Detroit, Oct 19 St. Paul, Oct 20 Milwaukee 2015 - Sept 23 (Colbert)/Sept 26, New York 2016 - Apr 28/29 Philadelphia, May 10/12 Toronto, Aug 20/22 Chicago

Yeah i'm sure you're right about 94, prob that simple haha. Well pretty sure this info was out in the open after the US 25 tour was announced by someone else - but the info was about multiple Montreal shows...which would have been amazing.

I have no info but for some reason I feel like if there are October EV/Earthlings shows, the announcement will be in July.
July? Are they trying to kill me with the anticipation?
It’s just a guess. But they’ve announced October in July before. The more notice they give the more they sell the new shows but it hurts sales of already announced shows that the various artists are involved in so they look to optimize the balance. They are not concerned by our level of anticipation.
PJ: 2013: London (ON); Buffalo; 2014: Cincinnati; 2016: Sunrise, Miami, Toronto 1-2, Wrigley 2; 2018: London (UK) 1, Milan, Padova, Sea 2, Wrigley 1-2, Fenway 1-2; 2021: SHN, Ohana, Ohana Encore 1-2; 2022: LA 1-2, Phx, Oak 1-2, Fresno, Copenhagen, Hyde Park 1-2; Quebec, Ottawa, Hamilton, Toronto; MSG, Camden, Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, OKC; 2023: St. Paul 1-2, Chicago 1-2; Fort Worth 2; Austin 1-2; 2024: Vancouver 1-2, LV 1-2, LA 1-2, Napa, Barcelona 1-2; Indy; Chicago 1-2; MSG 1-2; Philly 2; Boston 2; Ohana 1-2; 2025: FL 1-2, ATL 1-2, Nash 1-2, Pit 1-2.
EV Solo: 2017 Louisville and Franklin, 2018 Ohana, 2019 Innings Fest, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Dublin and Ohana; 2021 Ohana Friday (from beach) and Saturday; 2022 Earthlings Newark; 2023 Innings Fest and Benoraya 1-2.

Ohana was announced on April 29th. They will likely either wait for for the Friday to sell out or have a set period of time they'll wait to maximise the ticket sales - especially if other shows are in the same state or close by (Vegas for example). EV tends to play smaller venues than PJ so they don't need as long to sell those tickets and Ohana will be the biggest capacity venue he's likely to play. That said, some fans might be more willing to travel to Ohana if they can see another show in the same trip (my situation) and so announcing could actually boost Ohana sales - there's a tricky balance to be struck for sure.
As an aside but definitely related, the added uncertainty around the KoL being able to play Ohana on the Friday might cause some reluctance to some of the more casual locals who've seen Ed quite a few times over the years.
If history repeats itself, we'll hear more concrete rumors of cities and dates before any official announcement is made, so I can't imagine there's anything imminent.

I remember Neil Young saying he wasn’t gonna be part of that whole Woodstock ‘94 circus. And there were a few other comments that made it pretty clear Pearl Jam had been paying attention to what Neil was saying — like they took notes on why not to play that thing. And man, thank God they stayed out of it.
As for the '99 edition? Don't even get me started. Total trainwreck — straight-up disgusting on every level.

The 2022 EV & Earthlings shows weren't announced until late August
What happened with the Solider Field thing that some were convinced was happening this year?

Ahh yes the Neil Young connection - I forgot that he was against that. Uncle Neil and PJ were presumably as close as they ever would have been in that time period, so that tracks. Yeah that horrible '99 festival..thank god they didn't attend. I remember one of my roommates at the time inviting me to go with him, and I had zero interest in camping out 3 days in the middle of nowhere with a sea of people.

1. August???? I'll die from the anxiety until then!
2. I like those dates and would be elated if they repeated them. October 7 is my birthday. I just want different cities (Seattle and Portland).

if Australia , West coast 2025 and Europe 2026 are true i can see this timing for annoucement
Australia - Summer 2025 Annoucement West Coast - Summer 2025 Annoucement Europe 2026 - December 2025 Announcement
Are you purely hoping for Europe? as Ive seen nothing credible as yet to suggest its on the cards
purely hoping but without PJ touring next year and eddie finally taking earthlings out of the US i can totally see him finally coming to Europe with it
People are dying from anxiety waiting for EV and what is basically a cover band to announce dates where they play 23 songs and charge $200/ticket? Good grief, go enjoy the summer. Not sure how people would have functioned in 2006 and 2010 when we got PJ tour announcements about six weeks before the first show.
