I get that it’s not cheap to ship from England to the US but I paid less for a poster tube to be shipped here than they wanted for a flag, license plate, and two stickers.

6 days of merch in Chicago & Boston is insane!!! They should have enough merch to go around that not a single fan comes out empty handed at these shows. Not a single soul.

One thing that sucks is all shows are cashless.

Hell yeah. The early Fenway merch days have been a godsend.

    Why is cashless an issue?

They need to consider their fans who are bookies, drug dealers and prostitutes and work in strictly cash businesses. They want merch too.
    This weekend we rock Portland

Agree there should be plenty of merch to go around but that doesn’t mean lines still won’t be insane.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

    Exactly!

But yeah, what will happen if there is a glitch? That all the servers are down and they can't take credit cards? What then? Plus all the interest using credit cards, it's better sometimes to just use cash. Plus, the government LOVES you when you use cash ... ..

Some sports arenas have been cashless for a few years now… I don’t think they’re worried about glitches at this point.

Here's an idea:  For such long merch lines, they should have shirts available at some point in the line purely for people to try on for sizing.  I know that takes one person away from the merch stand.  They could probably do on the honor system if they just provide the same shirt without the PJ design.  It is brutal watching people take all this time to try on clothes.

How about that software update a few weeks ago? Major chaos in many industries. I'd think a glitch is surely possible

I've long said there should be an express line. Step up, hit the clock, and you have 60 seconds to complete your order. Need more than a minute? Use the regular line. Run out of time mid-order? You can purchase what you ordered and get back in line if you want more.

Or have a person to the side  of the booth with and example of each shirt/hoodie so people can just check to see before getting line. And/or something to the side with measurements of the shirts.

I’m not saying it isn’t possible…. I just don’t think they’re worried about it. If / when a glitch like that happens at a big event they may rethink it, but until then, cashless stadiums / events seem to be the direction we’re headed.

I'm sure by the 6th day the glitches will be worked out.
