How do I know if a ticket in my Apple Wallet that was added from my wife's TM account is valid? I was able to add her GA's for Seattle to my iPhone Apple Wallet and the "Hold Near Reader" icon is moving. She broke her foot and sort of still recovering, so may not make the trip...
As long as there's not an error message that says something like "pass deactivated, ticket associated with a different apple ID " it should be good. Usually if it's invalid it will say "activating" first and then give you the error
Your F5 skills are equally as impressive as your expertise on this topic. Vegas and SEA GA's successfully in Wallet - phew. Thank you good sir. I was thinking perhaps the new security measure was not "turned on" yet for LV and SEA, but there were definitely new prompts when I added them:
i) on TM App it stated "Add to Wallet to enter the event" (with a button that said "Add to Apple Wallet", and even a background image of the fellas, almost with a little judgy serious face on EV, JA and Stoney - kind of amazing actually give the context); and,
ii) when adding to the Wallet itself, the prompt was a white screen that read, "Wallet: Ticketmaster requires Face ID for enhanced security. Your passes will only be available on devices that are signed in with XXXXXXX@gmail.com." (which is my Apple ID).

Hope this info. is useful!
How did you get two different TM accounts to go into the same wallet though.
This is all super confusing to me lol. So I have 1 ticket to MSG N1 and there’s a chance I might not be able to make it. The ticket is already in my Apple wallet. The “hold near reader” messages moves as well. If I decide to end up selling F2F at some point, is this going to be an issue?

If what we are saying here is true, I guess both my TM account and my wife's TM account are / were already associated with my Apple ID. And if what GlowGirl said is true from the Apple Forums (and it makes sense IMO), my wife won't be able to access her own tickets from her TM account into her Wallet. Which is fine because she is not going to any PJ shows without me anyway...
Does anyone know how / when the link from a TM account to an Apple ID originates? And is that connection permanent?

No. Just remove it from your wallet and list it in F2F or better get since msg can be transferred, transfer it to someone here.
The issue we are talking about is logging into someone else’s account from your phone. But just make sure to remove from your wallet before selling or transferring.

I actually have my account and my wife’s account under the same Apple ID email. I set it up this way a long time ago and never bothered to change it. She hunts Taylor Swift tickets so it does me no good here but it can be done.

Ok. Will keep in mind. Nothing is for sure just yet.

A) sorry to hear about your wife's foot. If you have an extra GA for either SEA night, id be interested
Sadly, no clue about how that would work for you? I would assume, for now, that if you have them in your wallet already, they will be good?

Looks like the tickets are safely in my Wallet with no error messages, so should be good! If she doesn't come, unfortunately have like 6 friends in line...

Actually I sold or transferred a couple tickets recently without removing from my wallet and they automatically said invalid and were moved to the "expired pass" section once the other person accepted the transfer.

I can confirm that if you see the "“Activating / Your Pass is being activated" message after attempting to add to your Wallet, that's no bueno.
Yes. I remember that from last year. I have never seen a ticket like this that only gets the barcode activated once in the wallet. What if someone doesn’t ever use their wallet. I use mine all the time, but some people may not.

Hopefully it all goes back to- if you purchased a ticket and plan to go to that show and not scalp, you are good to go. If not, throw it on F2F for what you paid for the ticket. I’m all for it. May suck short term but long term effects will be great for the true fan.

Totally agree, except where bots gobble up all the F2F. Seems like there are successful single drops at least!

But normally you buy two tickets and go with someone. It’s reasonable for there to be a way for the show companion to arrive separately without having to provide a DNA sample.

Let's be fair though, this is actually an apple based problem not a TM ticket problem. Android doesn't have this issue, correct?

The jury is out on that. Portland will be the experiment and someone will report back.
