In other news, I hear Vancouver only has about 400 GAs. I believe last year in Ft Worth it was something like 800. Will be interesting to see if other arenas have reduced GA capacity as well. If so, upgrades will be tough, as we've already seen
I knew it! Been saying something was different since the seat assignments were announced. All I got was a few people calling me a store loser. I just said something was off.
Looking at pics from 2013 to now I think there are at least 3 added rows on the floor for tonights show. Gotta sell those premiums!

May be an image of 1 person and lighting

Pearl Jam Rogers Arena - December 4th 2013

This also looks to me like the stage is farther from the back this year. Like the PIT started near the edge of 104 last time but closer to the middle of 104 this year. Combine that with more seated rows and PIT must be more compressed

I'm now able to add Indy to my wallet. I wasn't able to an hour ago (I checked because I was able to add LA tickets I just bought).

The tickets appear to activate now only when transferred to the wallet. Is this to prevent people from logging into other people’s TM accounts from their phones? It’s weird. I have never seen this before. The tickets for other bands in my account look normal with rolling barcodes or countdowns.

Maybe it prevents the Scalpers from being able to E-Transfer tickets.. seems fishy

Were these purchased on Stubhub or another secondary ticket site and transferred to you via a link?

Nope they are 10c tickets. I heard this is to prevent people from logging into someone else’s account. They were going to start it in Vancouver but didn’t. The band wants it this way - so I guess it will start in Portland - from what I am hearing. It is an anti scalping strategy.

except on android devices you can just download the tickets via the tm app onto anyones phone.   If you log into TM while on a friends phone, there's nothing stopping you from downloading the tickets into their google wallet.

negative, last time we did it was on saturday.  Is there now a security feature to prevent you from downloading tickets into someone else wallet?

That's the question. The same method used to work for iPhone, until it didn't.

I guess if I was planning to use someone else's tickets for a show this week I'd be picking up an android burner lol

So if my wife goes to a show this tour and the tickets are under my account she has to take my phone with her? Across the continent?

    WTF is going on here.

Portland is going to be a ticketing disaster for a lot of people if any of this plays out like it looks like its going to.

Hey honey want to do a timed drop for my tickets that I have on my account but now need to get them on your account? Oh shit someone else got them oh well!

    WTF lol

Wouldn't Apple Wallets need to be tied to a TM account for this scenario to have credibility?  For example, what if your TM email was different than your Apple ID?

I use different emails but my TM account is tied to my Apple ID. I guess it becomes "linked" by saving tickets from the account to a particular apple wallet

or if you didn't know this was a thing, and download tickets to someone else phone and it created a permanent link... shrug.

This seems good and bad.  Scalpers are figuring out fan2fan, and I think the same tools we use to give tickets to a spouse or friends, are also being used by flippers.   Maybe it helps with the bot issue?

I suppose it doesn't stop resellers from making brand new accounts to buy tickets, then sharing the account.  IF it permanently links to someones wallet, no harm no foul for the reseller?

I was reading about this issue in the Apple forums. Some people who have logged into someone else’s account on their phone and downloaded tickets into their wallet then have in some instances got that account associated with their wallet. Then it won’t let them download their own subsequent tickets into their own wallet without getting them disabled. A few people on the Apple forum have had this happen to them.

What initially was an effort to curb scalping has now turned into (what seems so far) as a total mess for the fans. Hopefully it’s not the case. We’ll have to wait for Portland to find out.

Or if you have two TM accounts, can they both be linked to one Apple ID? Or are tickets in the second account just in limbo and can't be used by anyone??

How do I know if a ticket in my Apple Wallet that was added from my wife's TM account is valid?  I was able to add her GA's for Seattle to my iPhone Apple Wallet and the "Hold Near Reader" icon is moving.  She broke her foot and sort of still recovering, so may not make the trip...

As long as there's not an error message that says something like "pass deactivated, ticket associated with a different apple ID " it should be good. Usually if it's invalid it will say "activating" first and then give you the error
