Haven't seen a show at Citadel Hill in Halifax since 2000 summersault....how about a Pearl Jam / Foo Fighters show there?

I saw Metallica play there back in 2011. A Pearl Jam show there would be awesome!

Middle of a run is dicey these days! Go for the first few shows.

Maybe they should build in more mid-tour breaks.

That would be amazing, but I suppose it stretches out the length of a tour.    I often wonder when I see a more classic style of tour dates, why it seems like some bands play every day but weekends.   Sort of removes the higher demand you would get from making it easier on people who have to travel in a bit to see the show (it expands the radius from the location of people who can go).

I generally have to burn vacation days to go see most concerts.  I even get happy it's on a Friday or Sunday, because it's only 1 vacation day.  Mon-Thurs means 2 :(

That's probably being optimistic. Oh, and don't forget that the fan club seats keep getting worse as well.

If down under is happening November 2024 I think we get 10-15 US dates in May. Europe in June/July, and 4-6 “bigger” US shows in September. Would like to see South America thrown in March

Depending on when the album drops South America might be more likely March ‘25, it isn’t out of the question they’d start a new album tour with all the attendant first performances overseas but I’m not sure I’d bet on it.

as far as other major acts go, have they had this many cancellations in the last year or so? I hear some here and there but with PJ it seems like a lot. I could certainly be wrong

Since the start of 2022 there was Ed's tour, PJ spring, PJ Euro, PJ fall and now this short 2023 run. Of those, I think only last fall went off without any cancellations or postponements.

EDIT: To answer your question, plenty of other bands are cancelling shows, too. Bruce and gnr to name two.

Closest comparison is Metallica who had cancelled Phoenix 2 after James got Covid following PHX 1. They play similar two night stands with a night off inbetween. They gave fans the date pretty much immediately for the following Saturday as the OG date was a Saturday. I feel like we’ll be waiting a long time for a new date if we get it at all. Look at the number of dates Tool has played since 2022 with nary a cancellation. I don’t know if it’s bad luck, the band has a higher Covid testing standard or what. There’s always cancellations and things happen, but they just can’t seem to complete a run without bad luck. I was pleasantly surprised when they did in Sept 22. Hope everyone feels better, hope we get info on what to expect re: Indy soon.

That’s true and I believe they will indeed reschedule it.  No reason not to.

That being said it could very well be cancelled.  Similar to some of the Madonna shows that were allegedly going to be rescheduled but got canned when they did the new dates.  Since it’s only one show here that could help but it could also hurt.

The whole region this show serviced was way overdue. If they have a new album and tour it’s hard to imagine Ohio, Pitt and Detroit not being in play after how long it’s been as well. If anything maybe the rescheduled show pushes one of those out? But I think they’ll be nearby and my god if you know you need to fit Indy in now get in front of Ruoff’s schedule. Feels mission possible but only time will tell.

If it’s illness derailing them again maybe playing outdoor shows in the summer would be a safer bet? When is the last time they toured the US in June/July/August? They should at least make up last night, Vegas & Sacramento in 2024. How Seattle keeps getting stiffed is beyond me as well. My fear is not everyone in the band enjoys touring at this post and everyone of these cancellations probably hurts the odds of us ever seeing a full blown tour again.
