How about how PJ Touring impacts? If the Vitalogy foundation supports environment, indigenous, and homelessness, how does touring contribute to these problems?

Does the 2 days/city model encourage more flight pollution and short-term rentals that increase homelessness which disproportionate affects indigenous people?
    https://pearljam.com/vitalogy/carbon
Do you think the entertainment industry effects short-term rentals which impacts those experiencing homelessness when people travel to shows rather than the show touring to them?
I honestly don't know. I wish I had enough information to speak on it.
I mean, I'm sure whenever there's a large event in any town the Airbnbs get flooded.
I know lots of cities are cracking down on them, but it seems to be more of trying to stem over tourism, like Amsterdam.
I wasn't aware of countries banning SROs for over-tourism. Here they are taking homes away from people who need them.

p.s.Thanks for your packing tip. I didn't know those things existed. Now I have to decide do I pick up some from Walmart down the road or save 10 bucks and have them shipped from China just for me? Fuck it, pack less, maybe just old clothes (mostly).

Yeah, no problem! The ones I got double zip down to really compress.
When you say taking away from those that need them, are you referring to investors buying up property?

It's that yeah investment properties it's also anyone that owns a second home that rents it out to short-term rentals rather than long-term people. Because there's not enough housing for everyone, people that are opioid addicts aren't getting housed because obviously you'd rather a student or a 9 to 5er renting your place right0

Ahhh.. thought they messed up on neuroscience gray matter lol. Or referred to difficult things...

The astronomy aspect makes much more sense given their recent foray with Quick Escape and space camp!

It’s funny how there are three topics running now - wrestling, BC’s housing policies, and dubious source of info on new songs.  All good, it’s just funny watching multiple conversations happen in the thread and none of them are tour rumors.

True.  I just meant it wasn’t any new info or confirmation of dates.

We've been watching AEW for a while now. I feel like the sweet spot would be between AEW and WWE.   AEW is really good at having wrestling matches, but there not as good with sports entertainment.  Plus they don't have as many big characters.  WWE is good at having big characters, but they're a little too sports entertainment.

I've been leaning a bit back to WWE lately, but my wife religiously loves AEW.

To sync this back into this thread, could you imagine being a pro-wrestler?  On the road almost every week of the year, always traveling and sleeping in hotels.  It's like be a musician on steroids.

We have a similar law here and it does nothing to deter Airbnb’s. The fine isn’t enough to worry about for homeowners making a ton from their rentals.

It's working here.  Many of the AirBNB's are going back up for sale.   It really only impacted condo type units, you can still airbnb a suite in your house.    I think the big part here is it was made provincial law.  AirBNB has to comply with it, so it's that much harder to even list one now.

It's going to suck for concert road trips.   We already had a hotel shortage, hotel prices are going to the moon :(

I've been following mainly AEW since 2021 when Danielson showed up. I agree with what you're saying about a sweet spot in the middle.

I feel like 2000 was the year where WWE cracked it. The Attitude Era was still cooking but there was more emphasis on good matches and the talent pool was unreal.

I've also been watching WWE a bit more lately because of Punk going back there and then my guy Rock showing up 😁

    1. I watch AEW religiously. Its got some messy bits, but overall I love it.
    2. I do rent AirBNBs, but its really only when there's a group of us traveling together, like when we go to Shaky Knees.
    3. If Pearl Jam were to play Atlanta this year, it would definitely be my luck they would do it when I'm out of town, and couldn't make that four hour drive.

If Pearl Jam plays Atlanta, Kings X should guest again on another song besides WMA, cause they'll never top it, but it would be cool to hear what they could do on another song.
