How much do you think tickets will be on the next tour?

With concert ticket prices continuing to inflate out of control.  How expensive do you think PJ tix will be the next time they tour?  PJ tends to be on the cheaper end of the spectrum (when comparing to veteran rock bands that can sell out arenas and stadiums).    Even $200 for something closeish to the stage seems to be drifting towards the cheap end.  We paid $400CAD for side stages tickets to springsteen at face.

Kind of curious what current market forces might do to PJ tickets :(

Inflation bro, they going go up. Wouldn’t even worry about until they announce a tour.

Probably $150 or so.  I think the 2022 new shows were close to that.

I expect all-in prices will be between $300 and $400 per pair.

Is this the year they go for dynamic pricing, with people on here defending it?

No, they already had Dynamic pricing last year.   I forgot what they called it.  It was something like PJ Premium instead of calling it platinum tickets.

Not that it mattered because I have face value 10c tix.

Why the slight on Springsteen?  Everyone is using platinum tickets now, and he most definitely wasn't the first.  In fact his shows look like there's less platinum tickets available than most other shows?

    Not everyone.

In a statement, the Cure noted that "apart from a few Hollywood Bowl charity seats, there will be no 'platinum' or 'dynamically priced' tickets on this tour."

If playing sheds, I'd guess $150ish for reserved.  $80 for lawn.

He took a lot of heat because his onsale was a similar shitshow to that of Taylor Swift. And it wasn't a good look when ppl went to buy tickets, and all that was left were $5k platinum tickets...especially when he was always hailed as the working man's performer.
The irony was, scalpers bought up all the tickets immediately, and then couldn't resell most of them. So for pretty much every show of the tour so far, you've had tons of tickets available the week of the shows for as low as $4. My show ended up being 30% empty.

But if PJ does tour this year, I think they'll price at about $139, which is in line with what dmb and Foo are charging. Although, I do think "PJ Premium" is here to stay.

Probably $150 or $175 per ticket face value with PJ Premium mixed in.
I’m pretty happy with how the ticketing worked in 2020 and 2022.  For most shows other than the super in-demand ones that will always be a battle (single shows in Toronto, MSG, Camden), it was easier than ever to get tickets and the fan-to-fan worked great if you were willing to put in some leg work.  I hope they keep the ticketing system the same going forward.

What they had last year (PJ Premium) is a bit different than dynamic pricing. It was Platinum just under a different name.
Dynamic is where the tix prices (for all areas) fluctuate with demand. So, during the on-sale prices will jump. It can be a total shitshow for a high demand concert.

Probably depends largely on the type of Venue. If its another stadium tour, I would imagine closer to $125, if it is an arena tour, probably a little more, like around $150-175.

Can be a shitshow for low demand concerts too. I remember a few years ago, I bought tickets for U2 the day they went on sale for $139. The show didn't sell well, and they eventually dropped tickets in my section (including the seats right next to me) down to $29. Of course, TM refused to refund any of my money. Same thing happened with a Foo show that same year.

Gross.  Hopefully that's on the high side.  Or, they play sheds with cheap lawn ticket options.

Looking at ticket for other similar acts (DMB and Foos) so maybe some argument on similar, but both of those bands had options for less than a $100 (Foos even had tickets for $99/before fees that were covered/not the lawn).

There's just no way I'm paying $200 a ticket at this point.
