I’m flying in.  Wasn’t planning on renting a car.  Is Uber not the best option out of the venue?  Any other type of transportation?  Subway?

Again, I'm not sure if the Uber thing has changed. Definitely can take Uber/subway/PATCO to the show. But would not take it back since it probably won't be running then.

Best means of getting there and back to me is the ferry. Problem is super stressful coming back. Everyone crams in like sardines and it leaves like 15 minutes after the show ends sharply. But I personally have never had a problem getting back on it.

Is it just one ferry or does it do a second run?

Depends on where you are staying. If in Philly, there's a ferry that runs across the river to Penn's Landing.

In for Res or GA - like everyone, just happy to be in the building for a show 20 miles from my front door.  The amphitheater at full capacity will be deafening, especially with this many fan club folks on the grounds.  Get those singing voices ready early Philly folks - you know the guys take it to another level when the crowd is rowdy early!

I could be wrong but it does. Pretty sure they don't leave people. It just takes a lonnnnng time to get on that 2nd ride.

We were staying at the Hilton Penn's Landing one night while there was a show in Camden. (I can't remember who it was - a country band I think)  You could easily hear it across the river. I can't even imagine how loud it would sound when PJ plays Camden.

Sorry I should have clarified.  I’m staying in Philly downtown at the club quarters.  So ferry sounds like an option.

That will be your best bet. The ferry takes you to Penn's Landing, and you can catch an Uber there or jump on a train.

Nice, thank you for the info.  I’m leaning towards the ferry.  I saw the Broadway PATCO stop is like 14 minutes walking away 1) is it really shut down by say midnight?  2) is it safe walking there from the venue?  I assume there will be a lot of concert goers heading that way?

PATCO is probably the overall cheapest and quickest way to get there. I might do it myself. Just a bit of a walk. Totally safe walking to the venue from there. But I know PATCO is basically made for commuters to work in Philly, so the schedule is sketchy later at night going to the city, especially on a weeknight. I feel like then that wouldn't be the greatest place to be stuck waiting for a bus or something because PATCO is no longer running. Could always take PATCO there and the ferry back.

Waiting on the possibility of Nashville GA or trading a Camden GA for one. Otherwise flying into PHL at 10am on the morning of the Camden show and flying out of PHL at 6am next morning.

for those that dont want to deal with parking, one alternative is the speed line. either from philly (center city) or from NJ such as woodcrest station in voorhees. drops you right off in camden and a few blocks from the whatever its called now (I still call it the E Centre but I'm old)

Okay next question.  I know we are 6 months out but obviously I’m pumped with this being my only show in 2022.  Is there a bar or something that has been the pregame spot for Pearl Jam fans for past shows in Camden?  I’m a Boston area guy and have never been to a show in the Philly area.

So what do you think the chances are of getting F2F reserved or GA tickets?

I won lawn seats, which I'm grateful for. However, I have a large credit for the Waterfront through Ticketmaster that is expiring in November. Would love to upgrade my seats and use that credit.

Now we're talkin'. This guy who was a DJ on a local radio station here opened a bar called the Irish Pol that he tried to make a PJ bar, but pretty sure it's closed now. So many bars though, and I'm sure someone in here somewhere will establish a 10C meetup bar. But here are some of my faves where you're staying and/or on the way over:

Fergies, Oscar's, Good Dog (best burger), Rotten Ralph's, Black Sheep, McGlincheys (you can smoke), National Mechanics. So many more.

Last but not least - Spruce Street Harbor Park will be open and it's right next to the ferry. Awesome place to drink beers and soak in the city outside.

Nice,  I’ll gauge what the majority seem to be doing as we get closer.  I’m coming in solo so I’m up for anything haha.

For those coming in from NYC, how are you planning on getting there - Amtrak? bus? rent a car? My first thought was taking an Amtrak to Philly. But I am also open to sharing a car rental if anyone is up for it. I guess there is still a lot of time to plan.

Haven't been to Camden since the Riot Act tour.  Is staying in Philly and using the ferry a good play, or too big a pain in the ass?

I'm coming from Long Island and trying to debate just driving home afterwards or making a mini-stay of it.
  • I’m also coming in from Boston area and never been to this venue. Do people tailgate before the show in the parking lot? and if so is it a big tailgate party or am I better off pre-gaming at a bar on the Philly waterfront?? I’m staying in Philly and plan on using ferry service. I wouldn’t be opposed to driving in to park to tailgate though.

Definitely stay in Philly vs Camden. There are hotels along the Waterfront and easy to take the ferry over.

The only good things about this venue are the views and the tailgating. I don't like to toot the tailgate horn on this, but this place is the fucking best for tailgates. Even though I live in the city we're still highly considering a tailgate and renting a party bus.

I think it's a good play. Those shows were awesome. Hot as shit, too, iirc. Make a stay of it!

But I mean if you're not getting boozed up then drive home. But that sounds like more of a pain in the ass, imo. Again, make a stay of it!
