I put it for Night 2 Seattle tickets. I'll get my wife to put in for night 1. Fingers crossed. Would love to see a show or two.
As for the prices. Meh, I paid more to see GNR in Seattle 5 years ago, and to see the Stones in Seattle 2 years ago. They're small venues, so I guess it makes a little sense?
I have been curious what was going to happen to ticket prices after artists haven't been able to tour for 2 years.
However you want to rationalize it, good luck, have fun (sincerely)!
it's still nothing but a money grab, no matter how small the venue is. and comparing to other bands is irrelevant...they're just as bad (maybe a little worse then in this case haha).
I guess. I dunno. Do I like that ticket prices have taken off like a rocket? Not really? Am I Jonesing for a real concert after the last real show I saw was in August of 2019, yes I am.
just looked just looked at prices for other bands playing the Chicago venue and it looks like these are the prices we are going to be dealing with. Nick Cave orchestra tickets were in the $300s.
I would guess like all ten club related sales these are the top prices so if you don’t want to spend $200 try your luck with public sale because most of the shows also have like $90 tickets as well
I’m not going to defend the pricing here - and I don’t think this was the rationale for it - but if I were a scalper these prices would be a huge blow for me.
Under normal circumstances (again, if I were a scumbag ticket scalper) I’d be fine buying these tickets at $200 a pop, confident that they’ll trade well above that in the secondary market (and I guess I’m just talking about NYC and Chicago here). But COVID makes this a much riskier play, especially for indoor shows in February. A winter surge could absolutely depress demand for these tickets, and I’d feel a lot worse about trying to turn a buck on $500/pair tickets than $250/pair tickets.

scalpers have been scalping gold circle seats for years...I'm sure some people are crazy enough to pay $1000 bucks a ticket if they get shut out.

i'd never pay that much for any show. insanity. if i don't ever go to another show again, so be it. i've been to 1000's, i'm all set.
Congrats to those who can rationalize $475 for a pair of tickets, but I can't. Especially for a EV solo show. And especially especially for a EV solo show where the setlist will be heavy on a new record that may or may not be good.

Yeah, if these were the prices for PJ shows, I could rationalize trying to catch one show, but for Eddie & The Earthlings? Even for a 3K +/- seat venue is too much for me.
Balcony is not included. Maybe those are a little cheaper. I can't imagine much cheaper though.
For the shows I checked, there's 4 price tiers and the 4th tier looks like it is probably the last 1 or 2 rows in the venues. So I'd guess 199/179/159/139 but the lowest tier might be 100-125 since there are so few seats at the price.
Just for context - I paid $225 for two tickets to Springsteen on Broadway in August.
I’m not even a huge Bruce fan but he’s a legend and it was a good excuse to visit NYC and see live music in an intimate setting.
"Hey, listen asshole, one more fucker throws a fuckin' quarter up here and we're outta here, I'm tellin' ya, FUCKER! What the fuck, you're blowin' it for fuckin' everybody. Hit me with a fuckin' quarter again and, fuck it, I'm outta here. We're all outta here. Fuck you, and if anyone sees someone throw fuckin' change right next to them, you have my permission to beat the fuckin' holy shit outta them."
These ticket prices don't surprise me at all...I've been to sporting events lately and they aren't far behind and they play every few days. The great news is, this is all voluntary! By the way, Omicron may be touring at that time so this may all be fodder. Let's just keep floating them loans
I want to go for Seattle, and I had my finger hovering over the submit button with my requests..... and then I remembered that I could be subject to all kinds of problems trying to cross the border at that time. I'm not prepared to have to be tested or quarantined to make one of these shows, and who knows what the requirements might be in February. I feel like COVID is making it too risky for me to plan for this. And I'd be SO BUMMED that EV isn't hopping up to Vancouver, except if it even occurred to him, I'm sure he's concerned about the very same issues for him and his band and crew. Dammit.
As for the pricing... yep, that is STEEP. But he's still $100 cheaper than McCartney for decent seats, lol.

Hoping that this is just due to small venues and not a sign of things to come.
