These shows are going to be special. 3 hour shows. Can’t wait.
I was prepared for the festival length shows and if sets are like they were on Sunday, I'd be perfectly content. But finding out they'll be in the three-hour range has me off the walls! Just a few more days.
Caveat would be the assumption we are all making that the curfew will remain the 1050 or so that it was this past weekend.....but I think it's a good assumption.

I think that's a pretty hard curfew; I can't recall Ed or anyone going over in past years. I think the larger question is, when does the band take the stage?
All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.
  • Hey all, not sure if this is the right spot for this, but I've got 2 weekend tickets available for this weekend's encore. My dad had a stroke on Sunday and I'm unable to attend. Shoot me an email at johnryanhill@gmail.com if you're interested. Thanks
  • Anyone driving in from LA have room for 1 on Friday? I will be staying downtown near Union station at Hotel Figueroa.
  • Anyone have recent experience at the DoubleTree Doheny Beach? I have a suite booked and I know the location is super close to the venue but reviews online are pretty scary.

I stayed there last weekend and staying there again this weekend. It's a close walk (5 or 6 minutes to the front gate), you'll get a warm chocolate chip cookie when checking in, someone had a "PJ Chicago 2016" flag hanging on their balcony. They quickly sold out of beer in their little lobby store after the show.  It's not as updated or fancy as other DoubleTree's I've seen or stayed in, but my room was clean and the convenience of the short walk made it perfectly fine.

Stayed there last weekend, wish I could have done it again for Encore. Pricey, but I managed to be back at my room after each night ended within 30 minutes or less. Location is a bit weird as the roads around there are split in odd ways, but it's the closest thing you'll get.

Road noise is possible from the cheaper rooms as PCH is just north of the property, although I kept the balcony door shut and was okay. Early mobile check-in was great because I flew in late and worried if I had a flight delay that they might give up the room. App that makes your phone a key was spotty. All in all though, closeness (and I got a decent rate) made it worth it, but don't expect much from most hotel properties in the area for the price you're likely paying.

Side note: I am a very frequent traveler and I have noticed that recent reviews for almost all hotels have been much more negative. The lack of workers and customer service has had a big negative impact. So, having said that, the only thing you can really go on is the pre-covid reviews and be aware that service is likely going to be iffy everywhere.
  • Hello,

I'm going to Ohana this weekend, however I dont have any shuttle passes since they sold out. Can anyone explain to me the parking situation. Everything am reading indicate it's sparse parking. Do i need to book a local hotel? Will there be a lot nearby I can park in?
    Much obliged.

I’m intrigued.  Chocolate chip cookie aside what were the scary parts of the reviews?  Bedbugs?

trying to do Ohana next year so I’m scouting places early.

We have stayed at the DoubleTree Doheny every year except when we didn't go in 2019.  Was just there this weekend.  It's perfect for what you need; a place to sleep that is within walking distance.  Never had any problems

If you read some reviews, you would think that they expected a 5 star hotel, even if they were paying for a basic one. I read a review once that complained about the floor tile in the bathroom being different colors after a repair job. They said the hotel looked old. It was one of the classic ones in downtown Chicago that had been there over 75 years.

Thanks.  Good to know.  For a festival you’re only in the room late at night and early in the morning. I just want to be within walking distance next year

Sound was way too loud on Saturday, but Sunday sounded good and I didn't need ear plugs.

There is definitely parking if you get there in the morning. Someone that went to the festival or is local can explain it better though.

I am watching this thread for a confirmation either way.  Was really looking forward to S-K on that stage, what with BCB and PJ also being on that stage.  I think it would be awesome.  And that was what was listed when I bought tix.  Hoping it flips back!

Can’t confirm anything, but White Reaper are only playing Friday per their website. They are playing ACL Sunday.
SK should be playing before Brandi on same stage as PJ on Saturday.

Really screwed over by garbage company VIVID SEATS. Not sure what to do. Bought two tickets for my GF and I to go to Ohana Encore on Saturday

I placed the order on Monday night and put my friend’s address in NYC for the tickets to be shipped to (I’m briefly in nyc and then flying back to the west coast Sat morning) — when I looked at my account, the shipping address showed Portland. Immediately I contacted them asking them to change it, and they said they changed it and I got an email confirming it. All good, right?

I get an email tonight (Tues night) with my UPS tracking number - and the tickets are en route… to Portland. So I contact them again, and ask what happened/wanted to see if they could remedy it. They told me it was too late to change the address. I told them someone already told me the address was changed, and they’re now saying the label was printed immediately when I made the order and can’t be changed. So the first guy just straight up lied to me.

They said they could ask UPS to reroute but they could deny the request, and if they accept, it could delay tickets by 24-48 hours. I need the tickets in NYC by Friday because I fly back Saturday morning so that’s a massive gamble and if they can’t do it, I just won’t be able to go to the show. Their “guarantee” about tickets arriving in time doesn’t mean anything, clearly. I asked if they’d refund me so I could buy a new pair and overnight them and they straight up denied me, and basically called me a liar that their system auto took my PayPal info rather than the shipping address I put.

I’m debating just buying another pair because missing this iconic show for such a stupid reason seems like it’d be a huge regret, but I don’t know what to do… I’m so mad at this site for their absolutely atrocious customer support.

Just booked this place for the weekend myself.
Decided to stay near the venue to eliminate the getting to and from hassle and be closer to the party.
    It looks pretty swanky!

I just stayed there for Ohana and it was fantastic!!  Two very nice pools, great bar and free Fiji waters when we rolled back in after the sets each night. Wish I was staying there again!

Go tickets will be very cheap at the venue. Work out Vivid after the event if you are not able to before. Dont miss the show!

I’m not able to get to the venue til 3-4pm on Saturday though since I’m flying cross country, it seems like a gamble to find people who are still out there selling tickets that late, no?
