The announcement has been "imminent" for at least a month. My bet is that it will come on Monday, but I would have made the same bet last Monday.
Let's hope. It really just boils down to having ample time to plan vacation, time off work, etc. Having less than 2 months notice is less than ideal, even if they've done it this way for 30 years. This is a unique situation.
Making seniority picks for vacation started 5 days ago.
I realize its not a big deal in the scheme of the world right now, but we fans have hoops to jump through and bills to pay also. Giving us a decent idea of when we can make our plans isnt whining, its making plans.
We should be good by Tuesday. Don’t think it’s a coincidence that the announcement is “imminent” and SHN is announcing their lineup Tuesday.
SHN has nothing to do with a Pearl Jam announcement. Pearl Jam doesn’t play festivals two years in a row, and Green Day is their big headliner this year.
In a way I think it does. If we assume there’s no PJ at SHN, nonetheless SHN may be trying a bluff technique by saying lineup Tuesday and buy now for best prices. Knowing a PJ announcement is imminent, even if SHN isn’t in the tour they might get some people to buy SHN thinking they will be and beat the price increase. I wouldn’t bet against that type of a marketing ploy.

A lot of problems and issues that we experience in life start or get worse as a product of poor communication. This thread is a good example. People are excited. January comes and goes without any update. February comes and goes without any update. Fans start to get frustrated and start venting. Speaking for myself I start to think they are selfish and trying to maximize their cash flows and risk by waiting as long as possible to commit to the detriment of their fans. There may be a perfectly valid reason it is taking this long, but their lack of communication allows negativity to grow.
Nobody buy tickets when they finally do announce, and get refunds for tickets you do have
Let's show them who's boss!!
Everyone follow that advice for 24 hours after the announcement please. I could really use the time to optimize. Thanks in advance

Buy less merch. It is the only thing that will get noticed. Records don't sell like they used to, we all know that. A lot of bands have embraced touring as the new way to make their money. This band has embraced merch and we are their best customers.
We all need a deep breath here. It’s going to be okay.
So what am I supposed to do with the torches and pitch forks I bought? I didn’t keep the receipt.
Wait until the tour dates don’t work out for you. You may still need them.
Or perhaps one of your neighbors with the $3,000 per month electric bill is making a human out of spare parts and you don’t know it yet. You know, the classic reason people make torches and buy pitchforks.

Solid suggestion. I haven’t heard about any grave robbing going on, but I am admittedly out of the loop on most things.

I don't see it this way. We can be 99.99% certain that PJ is not playing SHN, and even if they were trying to bluff, ticket sales are now suspended until the lineup is announced on Tuesday. Anyone who wanted early bird pricing missed their chance. Even if PJ let it slip today that they were playing SHN, no one can buy tix until Tues, so it's not a great marketing ploy.
My guess is that PJ will be in the midst of their tour in Sept, so it's unlikely that even EV & Earthlings will play it.
Wonder if airline costs are about to skyrocket with the fuel situation….

In a recent spin interview Stone said he was looking forward to playing Ohana this year with Painted Shield so id say PJ is a lock for Ohana.
Wow it really does say that. That's pretty good intel that kinda went under the radar. At least I didn't notice it.
"Gossard says the group is already halfway through a third album and plans to play its first live shows later this year, including a stop at Eddie Vedder’s annual Ohana festival in September in Southern California."

SHN offer cheaper early-bird prices before their lineup announcement every year though
