Yeah.  I've only been following since 2010, but has there ever been a time in the last 30 years where the band has been as out of touch with their fan base as they are right now?
I’ve been passionately following this band for 20+ years and this is the most out of touch I have ever felt IMO. I’ve been sitting on tickets to 4 shows for over 2 years now. The no communication is beyond frustrating, it’s almost laughable at this point.
There has been communication my friend. It's posted under 'news' on the main page. Granted it's not the fully detailed communication and plans we have been wanting, but its not been 'no communication'. We all need to extend grace. It's not like they have had this fucking thing planned out and are withholding it from ticket holders on purpose. I'm sure they are aware people's plans are up in the air, perhaps other considerations take precedence above any of that and that's their choice.
Well said. We should all just be thankful this band is still producing music and playing live shows at such a high level after all these years!
we can both be thankful that and still annoyed at the lack of communication. I had to use my flight credit for another trip because PJ couldn't reschedule within the nearly 2 year time frame that westjet allowed me to rebook a trip without losing the credit. and a LOT of people have been in that same boat. this isn't just run of the mill "where's my xmas single" complaining; it's a financial and logistical burden for a lot of people, and it's kinda stressful. there have been several bands that have postponed and announced and postponed and reannounced in this same time frame. Sure, postponing more than once; that's not ideal, but they still easily could have announced these shows already. they are clearly already booked. anything within the next 6 months would have to be.

are they waiting for some stupid anniversary of when they were initially postponed? what was that? march 12th? 15th? can't recall.
It was March 9, 2020.  Two days before Rudy Golbert.
Yup. And I still waited until the very last minute to cancel my flights to Toronto. I think it was the 14th that I canceled.

There are things that are granted that never need to be said again on this board; thankful they are still alive, thankful they are still together, they don't owe us anything (except refunds), its time to replace the drummer and slow the songs down ;).  We know all of this. This 10 Club forum ( remember the 10 club?) deserves all of the bitching its getting. And if they announce 75 shows to be played in 2022, we still have about a 3 month grace period for more bitching.

  • Acknowledged about the upset & grateful. Not dismissing the upset. I am also upset, but I’m not tied into a bunch of airfare and hotels like some are. For that I am sorry you all have had to deal with those extra burdens whilst waiting for the PJ camp to finalize and share our their plans. Fucking sucks. These past couple of years have been shitty and I think the band is working with a pretty complex situation. Hang in there folks!

The MGM Grand Garden is the full size arena at MGM where they hold boxing matches and many, many Eagles concerts.  You don't want to be staying at the Motel 6 or any of the other places across the street on Tropicana@Koval where people discard dead bodies. The Tropicana is nice enough. The Hooters Hotel is now OYO. Just book a semi-decent strip hotel at NYNY or Luxor and you should be good for a fun weekend.

PJ. It might be 4+ weeks until this baseball mess gets figured out and that’s if we’re lucky. Could be months

If they add just a few shows, it's going to be nuts trying to get tickets. Especially Vegas.

So Foo Fighters played Australia.  They are going to MX and South America.  Then play the US in May.

Yet PJ can't land the plane on scheduling shows that were already booked and paid for long ago.   This can't be that difficult.   Let's go already.
  • At this point the announcement has to be held up by some festival line up announcement and they want to drop all of the dates at once.

I’m personally hoping for MSG to be fall and a bunch more east coast dates added in around that date.  I’ve got 3 kids and all are graduating this May/June (8th grade, 12th grade and college).

Not much on ballpark rumours right now. I find that very odd. Also 4 major cities have very little info on them aside from the assumption they will be ballparks.

    Seattle
    Chicago
    Boston
    Philly

How is there nothing on these cities yet with leaks but there have been drips with NY?

SHN has nothing to do with a Pearl Jam announcement.  Pearl Jam doesn’t play festivals two years in a row, and Green Day is their big headliner this year.

Priceless.  And really puts it in perspective with some folks defending the delay due to the logistical challenges of scheduling during covid, insurance excuses, etc.  Others have figured it out and executed very well.  The PJ camp has not.

The difference is the FF absolutely love playing live and touring. PJ not so much. FF opening back up MSG last June was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. And going to see them in n Big Sky Montana will be awesome this summer.

Can only dream of PJ doing cool stuff like that. That being said the variety of setlists for PJ shows make seeing multiple shows a must and I like PJ music better. Hope next week is the week.

Not at all.  I wasn't implying the band is waving the middle finger at their fans.  I couldn't begin to say what the cause of it is, but the fact is they have kicked the can down the road for a very long time and there have been several reasons (excuses?) mentioned as to why this could be.  The fact is that other bands (see the above post about Foo Fighters) have been able to pull touring off despite the same environment and challenges.  I'm not mad; not in the slightest.  I'll get to the shows when they happen or I won't.  It is just an observation and stating facts.
