Was at the Borgota last night in AC, casino floor was jam packed and the comedy show was sold out. I would say about 10% of people were wearing masks.
I just cannot see anyone going back to lock downs and mask mandates. People are over it and honestly, they should be. The vaccinated are protected, and the unvaccinated have had enough time to get vaccinated.

Based on what the school districts around us are planning for the Fall, it doesn’t seem so. Masks are optional and they can’t do distance education strictly for uneasiness about the disease. It has to be a documented condition of the student or family member with close contact to the student to qualify. There are provisions for distance learning if a significant outbreak at the school occurs. My county has a 31% fully vaccinated rate. You figure out if a outbreak is likely. 🙄

Yes those numbers would be helpful especially since I can see a lot of young GLBTQ individuals distraught over having a president who openly despised them. Let’s gets the numbers per year during his presidency and see if it began increasing in the years after his election and not just during the pandemic. I’m not disagreeing that keeping kids locked up isn’t detrimental, I just want to know if our former leader being homophobic increased the numbers as well.

st louis city and county are back to indoor mask mandates starting monday 7/26. this is directly due to the high numbers of unvaccinated people here.
also one of the largest hospital systems here are now issuing vaccine mandates that have to be verified by independent credentializing organizations by aug 13. . basically you have to get vaccinated and submit your card, have the card verified by independent organization, or you are banned from entry and doing business at that hospital system. i figured that was coming so my 2 teammates and i got our vaccines verified a few months ago.
my purpose in my career now is to go in there and steal business from the unvaccinated reps at other companies. This has gone on long enough, and we are going in to get that fucking business.

Its assertions were easily disprovable. No matter. Over the next few hours, the article was translated from English into Spanish and Polish. It appeared on dozens of blogs and was picked up by anti-vaccination activists, who repeated the false claims online. The article also made its way to Facebook, where it reached 400,000 people, according to data from CrowdTangle, a Facebook-owned tool.
The entire effort traced back to one person: Joseph Mercola.
Dr. Mercola, 67, an osteopathic physician in Cape Coral, Fla., has long been a subject of criticism and government regulatory actions for his promotion of unproven or unapproved treatments. But most recently, he has become the chief spreader of coronavirus misinformation online, according to researchers.

Same with my group. There is no common link socially politically racially or sexually as to why some people are vaccinated and others aren’t.

I read this article this morning, and have had follow-up from a doctor: If you are immunocompromised, the delta variant poses a real threat to you, vaccinated or not, and you should act as if you are not vaccinated. Meaning: continue masking, practice social distancing, do not socialize indoors with unvaccinated people.
And there's this (from same article): "COVID-19 became the third leading cause of death in 2020, bumping suicide down from the tenth leading cause of death in 2019 to the eleventh."
