To be honest, I'm less worried about the pandemic and more concerned about crowd anxiety after all this time.

I want to see how other indoor events go before I'm ready for that. I've been comfortable with outdoor things since last fall. Being in FL, the media presented a lot of images of outdoor crowds to the rest of the US, and we got a lot of flack for that, but the numbers never really spiked around those events, so I've been comfortable following precautions when in crowded outdoor settings.

I should clarify this is effective Memorial Day weekend since my 2nd shot is this Saturday. It's the answer that's closest to my feelings.

Need more people vaccinated before I am fully ready.   I would not be comfortable with an indoor concert now, but outdoors, maybe, with masks.

Come fall?  depends on how many more people get their vaccinations. To be honest, that is what is holding back most of the economy.

GO GET YOUR VAX!!!  (But all that said, if we get 70-80% vaxxed, let 'er rip)

Need the option for “went to Vax Live.”  Been fully vaxxed for over a month and I missed music too much to miss any. I will be seeing all Pearl Jam and Ed shows for the foreseeable future.

I'm in Canada, I only get my first vaccine next week.  It's supposedly 3 or 4 weeks til the 2nd shot, so I would say 3 weeks after the 2nd shot I would be pretty comfortable.  That would put it around fall.

I wonder how much this weighs on the band when the band reschedules.  PJ sells out shows, but a great deal of fans travel to shows (and many from other countries).  While Canada is trailing the US in terms of vaccines, we're still faring somewhat better than other places (especially considering we don't manufacture them).    If the launch the tour too early it could prevent all the travelling fans from attending, which could result in empty seats?

Of course once I get the 2nd vaccine, I'm good to go. bring it on :)

Fully vaccinated, so ready, will likely lean towards outdoors shows at first, but would go see the right band (you know the one I mean) indoors tonight if it were happening.

I have a rescheduled show in July. My wife and I are both vaccinated. It’s an outdoor venue so I think we are going to go.

It’s actually up to 4 months between shots here in Canada. If you’re shot is next week your second one may not be until September, especially with the 12+ needing vaccination before returning to school in the fall.

Yeah in Canada if we’re talking double vaccinated then September would be cutting it close.

I'm fully vaxxed now but would like to give it a few more months for more people to get there before doing anything indoors. But I would go to an outdoor show tonight if there was one near me.

I might never attend another concert again.

After thinking my whole adult life that live music was as essential as oxygen, I now don’t care if I ever see a live music act going forward.

It’s a nice spot to be in. It certainly opens up more rural areas for resettlement. And I like that.

I was always loath to move too far away from any major cities for FOMO regarding concerts, etc. That is no longer a concern I have at all.

Looking back now, all the hassle involved for a few hours of joy is just no longer worth it. I’ve got my own joy to make.

I’m ready.  I’ve already been to almost a dozen shows down here in tx, but with crowds only in the hundreds at most.  Mostly cover bands, guest list to friends’ bands, etc- no big acts obviously. I’m vaxxed but i was going before I was as well.  And yeah, that was pretty sad to read above ^ I hope everyone can eventually feel safe again and do the things they find enjoyable.
I'm like an opening band for your mom.

Conversely, this might just be the happiest thing I have ever read.  Sometimes priorities shift and things can end up being much better for the individual.
Those of us who see dankind's posting on this forum see that he is music obsessed as always -- but now that the live portion is not a priority there are other things which may open up.

Selfishly, I hope dankind attends concerts in the future since this would be the best chance to meet up and shoot the breeze or get some amazing Jamaican jerk chicken!

Sad to you, maybe. But a very happy realization for me.

As an introvert, this has quite honestly been the happiest time of my life.

I have absolutely no fear of catching the virus nor passing it on to anyone. I simply had some time to reflect, and came to the conclusion that all the anxiety involved with buying tickets, getting a babysitter, getting to the venue in time, being pushed around, having drinks spilled on me, having smoke blown on my face, being able to stay the whole show (as I'm beholden to a train schedule and babysitter's hourly rate) is very unhealthy for me. It interferes with and outweighs the vitality that live music provides. If I could teleport to an empty arena and hear my favorite bands play live, that would be awesome!

Tom Waits, Sade, and Fiona Apple are really the only three artists who could possibly change my mind, but we all know they ain't playing.
