I personally find it hilarious that people get all up in arms about masks with Biden.

he and boris are both fully vaxxed. they probably wore them as they were walking in, in a crowded building, then took them off after they sat down (and after that first pic was taken). 

I'm sure with some it's political theatre, but honestly, my youngest daughter often forgets to take her mask off when she gets home from school. she's that used to it. that could easily be the case with biden in the zoom call. I'm surprised some didn't use that as an opportunity for another dementia joke.

Nobody's up in arms, dude. Can't ya just see something stupid and call it stupid? Of course not. Instead let's try to justify the stupidity (the bolded section). 

And what about the picture with the kids? Shouldn't he wear his mask around unvaccinated children? That's what he tells us to do. 

And you're surprised that no one made dementia joke, yet you're the one comparing the mentality of the president of the United States to that of your youngest daughter. 

Then ya got one of Joe's biggest fans in The Juggler calling it stupid to call Biden's mask-wearing behavior stupid. I guess anything but unabashed praise (and nothing but praise) for Biden is stupid to some people.

justifying is not the same as adding plausible context, which is what I did. 

I wasn't comparing POTUS to my daughter. I was saying PEOPLE get used to mask wearing and sometimes forget. I used her as an example because she was the first one to come to mind. She's 12 and she's brilliant. It's not like I'm talking about a 2 year old here. 

again, with this "criticism isn't allowed" BS. of course it is. there's plenty to criticize. I just find some of the topics to be kind of funny. when people criticized Trump for stupid things, people threw out "TDS!" comments all the time.

President Biden got more votes in Maricopa County than the other guy. in fact, that Cyber Ninja group found even MORE votes for Biden in their tally. I've heard 360 was the number. Gee, now we know....what we knew in 2020.

Then we have one picture of them posing for a picture without their masks on. Hey here is another off the wall thought---perhaps the White Houses wanted a picture of the two world leaders, for some historical record or something, where we can see their faces? So these two fully vaccinated men took their masks off for a moment or two. Big deal.

What are we doing here, folks? Come on man. This is really so stupid. 


And that was on 9/11. It was taken in Shanksville, after the ceremony, as he was talking to family members of  Flight 93.

States that ended federal unemployment benefits earlier this summer saw August job growth at less than half the rate of states that retained the benefits, according to new data released Friday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Why it matters: Leaders in the largely Republican-led states had insisted that the benefits were discouraging people from work, and ended the assistance program early ahead of its planned expiration on Sept. 6.

• The benefits, which came in the form of weekly $300 payments, had been in place since spring last year to help families through the pandemic.
• A growing group of states began ending the benefits in June in what they called an effort to incentivize people to return to the workforce.

What they're saying: "Economists analyzing the unemployment issue have seen little evidence yet that cutting off the benefits has provided a clear boost to local labor markets, in part because of difficulties separating the influence of the payments from larger shifts in the labor force, or of the potentially offsetting damage done by the pandemic," Reuters writes.

Worth noting: When jobs are hard to fill, a broader worker awakening over the past year is part of the reason, Axios' Hope King writes.

So if losing free $ didn't make people get a job...then they were given too much $ to begin with.

I’ve had my help wanted sign up all summer. Zero people came in, that never happened before.  I’ve hired 3 people since the second week of September. It’s no coincidence. In my immediate area, losing benefits has directly helped businesses find workers. 

I would really like to understand what all the people who left the workforce are doing to live each day.  It seems very strange to me that there are so many opportunities available that cannot be filled.

A lot them transitioned to jobs with better pay / benefits.

“I am so much happier,” said Zvokel, 46, who’s worked in retail since he was 18. “For the first time in years, I’m not miserable when I come home from work.”

The cannabis industry is riding a pandemic high: Marijuana dispensaries and cultivation facilities — deemed “essential” by many states at the beginning of the coronavirus crisis — became an early refuge for retail and restaurant workers who had been furloughed or laid off. The industry has continued to grow, adding nearly 80,000 jobs in 2020, more than double what it did the year before, according to data from the Leafly Jobs Report, produced in partnership with Whitney Economics.

“There has been a seismic shift of workers from retail and restaurants to cannabis” said Kara Bradford, chief executive of cannabis recruiting firm Viridian Staffing, where she has fielded as many as 500 applications for one opening. “There is a sense that this is a booming industry that’s fun and interesting, with a lot of opportunities to move up quickly.”

So the virus can’t spread in a moment or two? So these two guys take precautions all day to avoid the possibility of transmitting the virus, and then say “Eh fuck it, what’s a moment or two?” Same with 9/11. I didn’t take this as a comparison at all…..and I’ve said this before-if some of this stuff against Biden is the best you’ve got then he’s the best president who ever served and I’m not even a fan.  The fact that you people are still so angry is pure comedy to us.  And there is no comparison between fuck face and Biden.
