F Me In The Brain said:I don't bring kids to a concert (although we know some do and you clearly state you will) but if, as a vaccinated adult, I go to a concert and come home to my kids I can give them the virus. They can then experience the full effects without a vaccine and pass to others they come into contact with - and the effects can include the long term effects that many people are experiencing.
Science shows kids can get it and spread it. The killing from this virus is not the only thing that is impacting people.
What ticks me off is I keep hearing "people who want the vaccine can get it"....but they are not acknowledging kids as people when they say this.
You can choose to bring your 12 year old wherever you please - and if Ohana goes forward and allows kids you can bring the child there as well. I would not do so but that is my personal choice as a parent.
I am glad to hear that your son is doing well - cancer is awful.0 -

Ah, that is funny - well, good news that he is so far removed in time from the cancer and still all good.

I am glad to hear that your son is doing well - cancer is awful."Time to move on."Kids are also wearing masks and staying apart from people where they can. They are not jumping around screaming at a rock concert.Whatever. Statements about "every person who wants the vaccine will be able to get it..." are invalid. Those under 16 are people, too.At least there are no comments about sexual enhancement drugs and kids in that response.I hope that things can be safe at that point and they make the right call. I do trust that Pearl Jam is one of the bands who will look closely at things and make the call based on safety and not be governed by greed or desire - so if they decide to go forward I imagine that the numbers, policies, and predictions will support it being safe at that time.
You definitely have the right to stay at home though. Not arguing that fact.Post edited by vedpunk on0 -

You definitely have the right to stay at home though. Not arguing that fact. You originally engaged with me on this subject by supporting what DEGBTI wrote:"no offence, by why? People who got vaccinated or going too will be safe. Those that choose not to, well bummer for them. Why should the responsible part of society pay for their decisions. If someone decides they don't want it, then that's on them. Do we stop driving cars because some refuse to wear seat belts? Time to move on."Nothing going over my head, although the implication is nice, we just do not agree. You will also have the right to stay home if they do not hold the event. Or you can just head down to Dana and waive a lighter around while listening to Buckle Up on your phone. It is a beautiful beach, I've run a few times right past where the event is held, as the sun comes up.The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -

We’ll have plenty extras to send north soon. Too many antivaxxers here to keep humming along at 3 million shots a day for long. This show, another show, a show here and a show there.0

How anyone can be anti vaccination I just don’t get it. Things are moving along very nicely here in the UK. I thought it was crazy that the Reading and Leeds Festival announced it would be going ahead in August but now I see it happening no problem.
Hoping to make it to the US in September for my first Ohana0 -
There is preliminary chatter in Ontario that the 4 months might be cut down a bit, depending on supply chain. I'm trying to plan out my trip a little. I'm flying from the east coast, either out of Newark or Philly. What airport should I fly into? I'm assuming I'll need to rent a car?0
-
You can call me an optimist, but I am actually planning to go out to French Polynesia and fly to LA for this. Things are extremely busy in Vegas and things are getting back to normal. As someone mentioned, full arena for one of the UFC events.0
-
i'm really hoping they get rid of the saturday night guy and we get two nites of pearl jam!!!0
