Charity Platinum is just a Platinum pricing level that goes to charity. Usually reserved for shows looking to raise a little cash with the remaining tickets - RATM did this last year to deter people buying to flip on StubHub and raise $ in the process. On the plus side, you should be able to write off a portion of the ticket price come tax time next year I believe.

Do Eddie's single day tickets (Sat this year) typically sell out? Are people who buy single day tickets and end up having extras able to sell them? I know that for some shows there are restrictions that make selling/transferring very difficult.

Looks like Ed O'Brien (Radiohead) is also not on the lineup anymore.

Have any of your been to this fest?  What is it like on the beach? Are people putting down towels and "claiming" space all over the beach?  Just curious.
You can’t claim that way anywhere near the main stage-you have to stay standing, even it means 11AM-9PM. The “claim with a towel” starts a pretty good distance from the stage and isn’t that great of a strategy if you’re trying to watch second stage acts as well
Only the insane diehards in a group will camp out in front of the stage all day, under the hot sun. But when Eddie came on stage, people pushed from the back and lots of salty people peeved that 'newcomers' stood right next to them, or in front of them when Eddie came out. There's no such thing as ownership of GA space on a beach. You literally go with the flow of the throngs of people. With that said, I like my freedom and I'll roam the entire venue with peace of mind, and be near the stands instead. Remember, even though it's outside, and I'm fully vaxxed, there will be people there, even by late Sept who aren't vaxxed, so I'm not too interested in exchanging DNA samples and sharing the same breathing space in front of the main stage. But I'm going to have a blast and I hope everyone else does too.
ps The VIP tickets were just too rich for my blood, but I'm content with GA Sat/Sun tickets.

Eddie only plays Saturday and his night usually sells out quickly, most def by mid-August. The Pearl Jam factor of Sunday is probably making people on tight budgets decide between just Eddie on Saturday, or the whole gang on Sunday. So far, Sunday is winning.

Thanks and in the past have singles been available closer to the date when people get their tickets in the mail? I'm wondering if we'll start to see tickets for Saturday or Sunday pop up on Stubhub and/or Craigslist or if restrictions make that impossible.

It's not on the sand....it's on the grassy park part of Doheny.  On top what everyone else responded to you with.

Check the San Clemente area. I snagged a room at the Volare last October for about $250/night. Looks like it's currently available for about $350/night. Short drive to the outlets for the shuttle. Stayed there in 2019 and loved it. https://www.choicehotels.com/california/san-clemente/ascend-hotels/caf03/rates?checkInDate=2021-09-24&checkOutDate=2021-09-27

How the heck did we not get advance notice if tickets being Ten members? By the time I got the email about the show from Live Nation the Sunday show was completely sold out. Does anyone know if they will release more tickets for the Sunday show?  If not, does anyone have 2 they would like to sell?

This festival (with basically this exact lineup), has had tickets onsale for a year. I bought mine last summer when they moved it to this year. Weekend passes were still available last month.

Have fun everyone who gets to go! Wish we could make it, but  my wife is a high school teacher and there is no way we can travel from Illinois to California a month into the school year. Maybe we get fortunate and they decide to play a few outdoor venues later in the Fall close enough to get to. Not likely, but stranger things have happened.

John Wayne was the right combination of price and proximity for me.I did LAX 2 years ago to save money and it was a ripping pain in the ass getting back there on Monday afternoon.

Thanks all for the insight.  Sounds like a fantastic time even with regular GA. I like to take it easy at fests and and mostly just have fun with friends and not worry about getting close. Sounds like the perfect spot.  Really glad to see Spoon on there, one of my favorite live bands.

Didn't Broken Social Scene get dropped? Toronto based band last time I checked, so not surprising if they could not commit.

Saturday adding Spoon and CWK raises the level of that day a lot. Both bands I would show up to see.
Ugh - they did get dropped. That's a bummer because they are amazing but still plenty of fantastic bands to keep us busy (and of course PJ / EV).

Recommendation request from those that have been there before.  Would you advise the shuttle (staying in San Clemente) or just plan on Uber all weekend?

I like the shuttle a lot. 2 stays in San Clemente- 2 shuttle uses. Extend the vibe a little with fellow PJ fans.

Uber can be a mess getting out.  May be waiting hours to grab one
