Crazy to think he'll be taking the oath at 78 years old. I remember thinking Bush Sr. was ancient when he was president when I was a kid, but he was ten years younger than Biden is.

If he chooses not to run for re-election (pretty possible), I hope they have a primary and don't just decree that Harris is the 2024 nominee. I'd like Yang to have another shot at it. Not sure how it would work since no modern president has chosen not to run for a second term.
Ooh.. I guess you haven't seen. The left has already started attacking Yang.    I actually wouldn't be surprised if he tried to Primary as a Republican*.  Lol  How would you like him then?

(*YEs I would. Just being funny, but first part true)
I’m not a democrat so I don’t care if democrats attack him or if he tried to run as a republican or independent. I just like him.
Yeah, I'd vote for Yang as a Republican, but.....lol..hahahaha he's not doing that.
I know he's not. My point is I don't really care about the political parties. So when dude above says hypothetically, "How would you like him then?" if he was a republican, I wouldn't care. He probably assumes that since I like Yang, I must like democrats in general, and would give a fuck if the left has started attacking him.

We shouldn't care about parties. I used to not. But now I went straight blue without even reading the names* because at every level, we need to defend against the most powerful and driven party in the history of politics-as-sport. They want a one-party system and having enough Democrats win is the only way to stop it. I hope I don't always have to think this way.  I'll probably always vote Dem for president, but I'd like to be able to be flexible elsewhere. (For example, I once voted third for Governor; I would not do that today).

This sounds like what you say when political opponents are starting to be jailed and the military is taking over the cities...

Basically the only voter reg advantage the R's got was due to being fucking idiots and registering other fucking idiots. Because they were the only ones going out during a global pandemic to do whatever they can to procure voters. It's like going to a football game right now. You know the kind of knuckdraggers that are showing up. Fish where the fishes are. **in regards to when the R's were outnumbering during voter reg**

I think Yang would be a great candidate that would please centrists and the left of the party.  It would be stupid for “they” to dismiss him

For the unenlightened here that say "I don't really care about parties", haha. As if sitting out of the primaries and then taking the best choice that other people have made for you is the higher ground or some shit. I'll not worry about political parties when we're in a rank choice voting format where party means shit, and there's only one election a year. Until then, it definitely matters about political parties.

Talk like that is only going to help republicans in 2022. Many quality moderate House Dems in purple districts were swept away, and the senate is likely a disaster. Anyone hoping Ossoff can win the senate in Jan compare his votes to Bidens and guess again. There will not be a month of early GA voting for that seat and likely mail ins will be more challenging to gather in the same number, but I will still donate to them.
Either way, Senate is likely going 52-48

It’s wonderful Biden is the apparent winner, but we are extremely lucky we had a moderate. Had anyone left of Biden been the candidate, or trump took a more measured approach to covid and we’d be looking at four more years. Don’t doubt that for a second.

As if it all wasn't mad enough, now Trump Jr. writes his father should "go to total war over this election". This is Nazi language. Now you know what they were all about.

I'm guessing Eric just discovered democracy. Stay tuned for more revelations.

So if the map stands as is, 25 states voted for Trump and 25 for Biden.  It is crazy how divided this country is.
And how divided so many of those states are. The margins in all the remaining states is pretty small, regardless of who ends up winning them.
Well. What if you remove the voter suppression, the gerrymandering, get the voting number up to above 80% etc. Would it look as divided?
Gerrymandering is pretty irrelevant in a national election, and more people voted in this election than any election every before.
The state lines were gerrymandered.  54-40 OR FIGHT!

An election or whether it's artificially evened, isn't just about the "national" election.

Feel the Bide Biden will address the nation tonight. I guess he has finally got a chance to listen to the Howard Stern interview and was as moved as we were.

Weren't they the first ones to put AZ to Biden and refused to move from that? AP did it after them.
The decision desk vs Foxnews are not the same thing. Also Fox jumped the gun on AZ but the will not admit it. They based their decision on mail in ballots remaining with Biden having the lead. They were wrong.
Biden still has the lead.  They're right unless Trump wins the state.

people are used to the election being called on election night. if only they'd do their own research instead of listening to people on twitter or the news, ffs, many of these states have laws CREATED BY REPUBLICANS that don't allow mail ins or absentees to be counted until election fucking day. some allow for ballots to be postmarked on that day and arrive later. it takes a long freaking time to process millions and millions of ballots.

    politicians feed off this ignorance.
