Happy Friday my friends..it's getting pretty serious here in Philadelphia..NJ... Everyone is losing their minds
Yup. Long Island is the same.  The psychology behind this entire dilemma is so strange.  Everyone in a panic and seem to be more concerned about all of the unknown and inconveniences (I overheard "Stop and Shop ran out of enchilada sauce I like, OMG"...), but less concerned about actually getting the virus (I've also heard "I probably already have it" or "I think I have it" too many times).  I just hope people self quarantine if they have symptoms and keep those at real risk safe.  I'm just going to keep hitting F5 and wash my hands a million times a day...

I wish. Only way I would not have to make my daily commute from the Bronx to Brooklyn is actually getting the Corona virus....and that's even questionable

I already work mostly at home so that part isn’t really affecting me. I teach college courses that are primarily online anyway. But this has definitely affected other parts of my daily life. Social distancing sucks.

I just got ripped a new ass from my wife. She asked me to hit the store this am, and came home with enough beer to have a week long F5 party.

Tip: Responding that she should have clarified what type of store she was talking about is not a good move.

We also have enough booze and food to host roughly half of the Baltimore show attendees

I have a small commercial construction company so work out of a home office, but still have to visit jobs. Not too much exposure there, though.  But definitely affecting the other parts of my life.  Both my out-of-town brother and I cancelled our trips to Florida this weekend to visit our mom together.  Big Bummer.  But clearly PJ made the right call at the right time.  See you guys further on up the road!  In the meantime, I'll still keep checking in here.

This is AMAZING.  Put a fresh keg of Montauk Juicy on in my "pub" garage / PJ sanctuary.  All are welcome / hazmat suits optional.

So, I was thinking - my schools are moving online using Zoom so we can hold classes over video. Do you think something like that would work to have our F5 meetup. Not fully sure of the technology, but I think if we could have a big video meetup that might be fun. We could do it on the 28th. We can at least meet each other and raise a glass. Would something like that work, and are any of you interested if it does? It might just be as simple as signing up for a free Zoom account, and having someone be the moderator and send out the invites to the meeting. Just a thought.

Is refreSHZA sitting on a mountain of refunded tickets yet? He could get us all into the rescheduled concert! ;)

Pretty much all formal and social events in NYC canceled... most people working from home, lines out the door at the grocery. I remember texting my friend in Shanghai happy Chinese New Year in Jan and he said “Worst New Years ever, everything's closed. I’m so bored.” I feel like that’s where we are now, 1.5 months later.

Hopefully we can flatline the situation, recover, and go back to regular life.

My inventory level is stagnant at the moment. :)

Just trying to wrap my head around how long "social distancing" might be the status quo. I guess no one really knows. Crazy times

Been listening to them for 20 years. I saw them 10 years ago for their 20th anniversary at Terminal 5. Amazing show. Probably one of the most underrated bands out there. Wish they toured more but the Hansard solo shows have kind of morphed into The Frames shows since the band are basically his supporting musicians.

wait a minute I just placed A peapod order! so your telling me I may not get my enchilada sauce!!! WTF... this is getting serious!
I just got ripped a new ass from my wife. She asked me to hit the store this am, and came home with enough beer to have a week long F5 party.

Tip: Responding that she should have clarified what type of store she was talking about is not a good move.
    Ha!!! were they coronas?
Haha, naw. My wife likes those, so maybe if they were, her response would have been less abrasive. She has calmed down.

Not sure if anyone read my post from yesterday... It mentioned I had an employee come in looking sick as fuck, running a fever, runny nose etc...Sent him home immediately, of course,  and told him he needs to go see a doctor. He just called me said he went to dr and he doesnt have the virus. Did they test you I asked. He said no. what did you do/ tell them I asked. He said I told them I have a fever am feeling lethargic body aches etc...they took my temperature, still running a low fever, but said I dont need a test because I probably dont have it. Then said and U got a note that says it's ok for me to come back to work monday.

I'm sorry am I missing something here???
    WTF

Hmm.  Maybe he didn't want to be tested?  Some people are worried about the stigma of being a "confirmed case."  Can't go to work and earn $ if you're positive.  Obviously, that's not smart.  Most people would want to know +/-, so you could get the best/earliest treatment (and not infect other people).  You shouldn't let him come back to work until you've seen, with your own eyes, something from a doctor saying he's tested negative.
I've seen quite a few Pearl Jam shows.
