Hi people hope you are all well.. I have a lung infection at the worst time ever in history. First got sore throat Saturday, lung infection by Monday. Not required to get tested for Covid as I don't fit the criteria. I've been given strong steroids and told to call my doctor in 2 days. Obviously self isolated to protect myself and others. My 12 year old daughter is my saviour at this time and is homebound with me. Had school package dropped off today as children that don't have to attend have to stay home. NSW now has 818 positive with a jump of 149 in 12hrs overnight. That's one state only. We're in big trouble.
I need to thank Pearl Jam for postponing. I found out today that 10 days ago my husband was heavily exposed. He is a pretty healthy, big, strong 57 year old guy, so if he gets it I think he will be ok. We are officially quarantined at this point. Even if he did not pick up this nasty virus my quarantine won’t actually start until his 14 days are up so I would have missed the concert 🤬😢.... hubby works as a produce manager at a big store, where idiots might think it’s funny to cough on produce and elderly people. I am pretty sure will lose his s#@t and job and share a cell with a hopefully covid 19 free person. So because my health sucks and the meds wipe out my immune system and I will probably be quarantined forever. But I am lucky and have my dogs, awesome music and some good books to keep me company. I have tickets for the Denver show which will be great and I live there so no travel involved. But now I am really thinking maybe I should try for tickets to Ohana. I think it’s possible that Ohana could be before the new dates for the already postponed shows. I really really want to see them again! So much!
Jammers—-I could really use some advice please?
Does anyone know if there is decent handicap seating at Ohana? I am pretty sure the VIP thing would have great accessibility but that just isn’t in the budget. Any insight or details on the festival would be great? I do use a walker so sand is tough going for me. Is there a lot of walking?
Hotel recommendations?
My husband had minor surgery and has been off work for 8 weeks and goes back Saturday, as long as he isn’t sick. Once he goes back though he will be around joe public daily. If any of you are living this “adventure” and have advice about social distancing, he is super concerned about bringing it home to me because there is a good chance I may not be as able to fight it. I wish it weren’t so, but I think there are probably others out there who have someone working an essential job and coming home to a family member who is high risk. He is planning to eat at work and come home and live in the basement. I know that we are trying to clean all the time and wash hands etc...but I kinda think that isn’t going to be enough. I feel like it would probably be pretty hard to not spread it in a home setting. If anyone has any advice, would you mind sharing?
Well, good luck with that, Governor. I didn't procreate so you just go right ahead and volunteer for that job. What utter dipshittery.
The religious right and evangelical class are cheering this on. Doomsayer preppie? Kelly Ann CONway and her ilk? Reunited with sister Sarah. Go to the beach. Or work on Monday? But this is an awesome opportunity to seize some awesome fascist shit! Moscow Mitchy baby is really paying dividends and if you’re not paying attention, choose or be told, left or right. So, be clear on your choice. Choice is yours. Maybe?
What the LIBERAL RAG The Hill does not bring up (or I missed it):
A Phoenix-area man has died and his wife was in critical condition after the couple took chloroquine phosphate, an additive used to clean fish tanks that is also found in an anti-malaria medication

The corona epidemic is a learning process for everyone. We still know too little. But we know some and can draw preliminary conclusions. The statistics from Italy, best communicated by SVT's Italy correspondent Jennifer Wegerup, are clear. On Saturday, statistics were published for 3,200 people who have died, infected by corona. The median age was 78.5 years. 98.9 percent of them had other, usually several, serious illnesses. 17 people under 50 have died. All had other serious illnesses. No one under 30 has died. For a large majority of those infected, the disease is mild. The dark number is reasonably very large and thus the number of immune.
To attribute 3,200 deaths in relation to something, it is good to know that 50,000 people per month die in Italy, (7,500 in Sweden) most often in a combination of old age and diseases of the circulatory organs and sometimes by the usual flu. No care facility and no society saves all lives at any cost.
Italy's demographics and society differ slightly from the rest of Europe. The country has an older population and an exemplary close relationship between the generations. But before death, man is quite similar, so let's assume that the ultimate threat to all, the risk of death, is similar to Italian. Is it a reasonable balance to quarantine the healthy and younger population in order to protect the sick and the elderly? Is it not better to do the opposite and, like South Korea, isolate clear risk groups, mass tests and home foules infected, clarify and demand an individual responsibility of the elderly and let the rest of the population function and work as usual and prevent the infection as far as possible with hand washing, sick leave on cold and successive immunity?
Keeping the economy and society up and running is also a protection, and by extension, an infection protection as health care will not work if the economy collapses.

Which one from 9 News Melbourne posted it?Kind of reckless of a journalist, not citing sources and posting something in such apparent support of and signal boosting Donald Trump?

I'd be the first to buy locally made goods even if it costs more.

So... yeah....
Maybe I can add 20% to my other job though... if they are in a pickle to get stuff done in time. Will see.
Anyways. It's temporarily so no real harm done.
