1) it’s ok to mock teenagers for their appearance, etc if they are anti-abortion
2) it’s not ok to mock teenagers for their appearance, etc if they are anti-gun
Where were they “mocked for their appearance.”
Look up a few posts.
“These guys don't strike me as the kind of guys that have a pony in this race. The abortion issue is not relevant in the masturbation world.”
Just one instance. Happens a lot. If you disagree with someone politically you make fun of them (general you). I’m sure I’ve done it in the past. But it’s really not cool.
Sorry, but I don’t read the two sentences you quoted as mockery of their appearance. They appear to me as if they’ll go on to stellar collegete careers, maybe join a frat.

Seriously?
and regardless appearance was just one thing. Hence the “etc”. It’s any number of things people personally attack when they disagree with political stance.

Dude, come on, I’m following this thread in the here and now. Not remembering all instances of mockery because someone says it just after the Instagram picture is posted.

Do you remember all the awful mockery (that continues) of the high school kids from the Parkland (I think that's the one...the sad thing is there are so many I get the names confused sometimes)? All over the internet the same thing happens. People that disagree with a political position attack personally. It's how we lost normal political discourse. It's why we ended up with Trump as president (well one reason).
Anyhow, in my opinion it happens all the time. Heck I have done it myself no doubt at some point. And it's not cool. We have to be able to discuss issues without it.

Don't know about you, but this website is messing up the quote feature a lot for me today...phone and computer.
even thirty will admit to his motives in that comment. he's good like that.
I was actually referring to the bible thumping chastity vows synonymous with RC youth groups.
Appearances had nothing to do with my comment, f**kers.
But of course... I should probably have sought permission from the MT resident authorities before posting- to see if the comment met their approval.
Hahaha fair enough. Makes sense.
My overall point still stands. And to be honest, your post just sparked the thought and was the easiest to go grab as an example. Sorry I misrepresented you.

I looked back at the picture of those dudes and I can see why you guys thought I was referring to their looks.
Crickets...I figured people around here would be giddily exuberant over the news of New York passing this...
I still need to read about it.
It lays the groundwork for late term abortions. Most of the pro-choice people I’ve heard from support allowing abortions up to the point of viability, so I’m curious to hear what they think about this. It seems to have also limited legal measures that make it possible to charge someone with a crime if they assault a woman and kill her unborn baby...Progress??
Crickets...I figured people around here would be giddily exuberant over the news of New York passing this...
Why would we be exuberant? This isn't Facebook, people here realize that late term abortions are heartbreaking stories of women and men who face devastating choices. This is a strong move for removing government intrusion into a medical decision, but it isn't something to be giddy about. I thought the tone of celebration on the floor was a little too exuberant, but I think that can be forgiven in people who have fought and worked so hard to do what's right, which is to leave medical decisions to doctors and patients.
Of course that was easily refuted by the fact that any assault of such significance can easily be punished to the same degree with a handful of other charges that would apply. Judges have a wide enough latitude to sentence appropriately.

So if a doctor decides that there is no “life or death” need and refuses to perform an abortion, that’s cool, right? That hasn’t played well with the “abortion on demand” crowd in the past...

Is that right? I don't know anything about the "abortion on demand" crowd's past. What have they done when doctors elected not to perform late term abortions?

Care to quote some legal statutes that back up that claim? They once could be charged with murder...or fetal homicide.

No, I'm not doing a bunch of research to back up what some legislators claimed in a state I don't live in. I will take them at their word, because it seems like common sense to me, and you will decide for yourself one way or another.
