What's with this ticketmaster pre-sale verification thing? And after I signed up for it, what's with this:

"On the evening of Thursday, February 15, you’ll receive an email confirming whether you’ve been verified and whether you’ve also been selected to participate in the presale."

Selected to participate in the presale? What does that mean? Like I MAY be selected to try to enter the lottery? Or if selected, does that mean I'll get tickets?
If selected, you get a code.  Enter that code the next morning in an attempt to get tix.  Tix NOT guaranteed if you get a code.  They keep sending codes out throughout the day of the 16th if extra tix remain.
Are you saying the verified pre-sale is a lottery?  I missed that.

Do you think Seattle 1 or 2 will have better odds?

Seattle 1 is the first Seattle show in 5 years, where as Seattle 2 is a weekend.. hmm

I’d say night 1 will have better odds just because it’s a week night, but the odds will probably be prettt similar.

Up for debate, but both Wrigley Night 2 and from what I hear, Fenway Night 2 were the better of the two venues

How are you selected to get a code? Randomly? By tenclub number?
This is completely different from the 10c lottery.  It goes 10c lottery then the ticketmaster preffered fan pre-sale then the public sale.  There are 3 chances at getting tickets for each show.

Ah okay. Interesting. And we can't enter the 10c lottery until February 7th right?
    Correct
Cool. Well thanks for the info. I thought that maybe you had get randomly selected for that verified ticketmaster thing just to be able to try for tenclub tickets.

No, the Ten Club tickets and verified Ticketmaster thing are totally separate. There are many people who don't want to pay the money to join the Ten Club but just want the opportunity for pre-sale tickets. However, they have to first get verified through Ticketmaster (a process through which they somehow determine if you are a scalper or not based on past purchase history...I learned this from going through the process with U2). Once you are verified by TM, you will get a code for a pre-sale to use on the pre-sale date.

  • Now I initially registered for a code for the general public presale because I didn't read the thing carefully. So now, I of course intend to enter the tenclub lottery on Feb. 7. But if I win those, I'm under no obligation with the ticketmaster thing right?

Thanks. I figured but just wanted to be sure.

Well they seem like they have a pretty good thing going here. Three different avenues for tenclub members to get tickets. Plus they say there will be more tenclub tix than usual

Would have loved to see a Raleigh make up show at Carter Finley stadium. New governor in N.C. and HB2 has been repealed. Bummer!

I wonder how many people realize the Missoula show will not be an intimate gathering, it's at a open air football stadium, so the acoustics will be interesting

It's also almost half the size of the other venues.  Plus side seats in small football stadiums are closer than side seats in big baseball stadiums.

That makes up a bit for the all GA floor.

The Missoula show is going to be the one to be at I bet.  Unfortunately, its sucks to get there and costs a lot :(
My general experience is that the more difficult it is for me to get to the show the better it is.

How was the view from the floor behind GA? Seems like if you wanted reserved that sitting raised up on the sides like 135 would be better so that you wouldn't have all those heads in front of you at the same level.

Was section P row 2 and thought the view was great. I imagine as you get far enough back from ground level it might be better to get in the seats.

I emailed the 10c and they said tickets are $85 - $112 before fees on this tour. I’m happy to pay as its worth every penny, but why do you think the steeper prices? 2013 - 2016 was quite a bit more affordable for tickets. Not conplaining! Just curious
