If Mexico is paying for the wall through the updated  NAFTA deal....why is he shutting the government down and demanding that tax payers pay for it?

    What. A. Fucking. Idiot.
Clearly...you have a good brain.

Since $5 billion won't come remotely close to paying for a wall anyway, the whole point seems moot whatever way we look at it, lol. And all those things together... amount to what Kat just said about his motivation, basically. This is all just a crazy political game for him, and he is not capable of looking ahead several moves. He's focused only on the distraction of it.

It's not a game for him, unfortunately.  It's his last gasp for his political life.  He has broken so many promises to his base, this is the only one has left.  If he breaks it, they melt away to 4Chan and the basement again.  He is incredibly weak politically.  He put himself in a box with his promises and cannot compromise his way out.

It's getting more insane by the hour. What the holy fuck??? My mind is boggled. This man has NO limits to his own ridiculousness. He is essentially openly threatening to completely abuse the system just to get his own way. This is crazy. I mean, he says a lot of stupid shit, so I'm not really thinking this will actually happen at the end of the day, but still, Jesus.

Trump threatens shutdown of ‘months or even years’ over border wall, says he could declare national emergency to get it built

I don't think he's honestly an idiot. I think he's woefully ignorant (on social issues, history, or pretty much anything that doesn't involve him directly), but I think he's actually really good at manipulating his base. you don't get to where he is being a complete moron when dealing with people.

    Yes, at manipulating idiots.

He is also being manipulated by almost every other leader in the world. He is an easy mark (some might say an idiot, some within his own cabinet might even say "a fucking moron").

The Progressive Caucus has been unhelpful thus far..  https://www.politico.com/story/2019/01/04/dems-livid-tlaib-impeachment-comment-1081370
Add into this all of the silliness of AOC, and it's a bad start.  I don't mean her dancing, I mean the Green New Deal which was politically naive, her challenge to the paygo rules, etc.  She is trying to challenge Pelosi but she is learning that Nancy plays hardball.

Uh, oh. Bad news for you guys - the economy is humming along. Job growth, work force participation, avg. Salaries all up and beat expectations.

more people have jobs today than in the history of the US (figured I’d throw that in as it is fact but clearly based on population growth too).

Sorry.  Hopefully, we'll have some actual bad news disaster for you soon.....

On the good side, you can continue to be distracted by words and loathing that amount to nothing.

i bet all those people that have higher paying jobs are worried about all the bs you are.
You got this info from where?  Donny? You do realize he lies. A lot. Like everyday. And that he’s a giant fucking baby who throws tantrums when he doesn’t get his way.

He’s a complete fucking joke. Something has to be done...like now. I can’t comprehend that anyone still likes/supports this fucking asshole president. I do not understand how it’s tolerated that he lies and makes shit up on a daily basis.  It’s embarrassing to the Republican Party.

I was thinking the other day of his 'we need to rake the forest floors' comment and just how utterly stupid it was. Then I started thinking of many other really stupid comments he has made that have been buried under a pile of stupid comments and stupid things he's done.

    F**k he's stupid.

I'm sincerely asking if there is any doubt about this? I mean... even toss in his poor spelling when considering it. Taking it one step further, consider that he has demonstrated the emotional intelligence of a mosquito (hand shakes, lack of impulse control, lack of self awareness, insulting people he has no business insulting, etc.).

And he's running the United States of America.

The country has elected a complete and legitimate f**king moron to run it. Making it worse is the fact that he is void of decent human values. It's one thing he's a complete twit, but he's also a bona fide and career villain.

Oh man. And people wonder why people like Halifax or Jose have flipped their lids? The entire debacle has become obscene: government shut down as he pouts with his chin out and arms folded, stock market collapsing, irrational military decisions, country divided, the US embarrassed daily on the global scene...

Here's to 2019! May it bring the US something that resembles frumpy getting his fat ass unceremoniously kicked on to Pennsylvania Avenue.
I think he has the capacity for average intelligence.
I think it's been close to 50 years since he even had to attempt to use that capacity.
He's a coddled and swaddled baby, insulated from ever having to think or learn or analyze anything.  All the business decisions that were based on data and logic were made for him and everything that comes to his desk is a gut reaction decision.  People have been making that clear for decades, long before he got political at all.

    Is he stupid?
Absolutely, there's no question, he can't even form thoughts into complete sentences!!!

The unsettling list of Trump’s made-up conversations keeps growing

Donald Trump went into quite a bit of detail while describing a conversation with the head of a “very rich” foreign country. As the American president described his discussion, the foreign leader – a “very great gentleman” – has been charging the United States when we fly planes over his country, even though the United States is preventing that country from being “overrun” by terrorists.

According to the story, Trump has convinced his unnamed foreign counterpart to stop doing this, which will mean a savings of “millions and millions of dollars” to American taxpayers.

It all sounded quite nice, although the conversation almost certainly didn’t happen in reality. The Washington Post tried to find a country that met Trump’s description. No such country exists.

Yesterday he said that he could fund the wall tomorrow by declaring it a national emergency and use defense funds already appropriated.

Why not just do it then?  Dems should be calling him out on that statement 24/7.  If he can just snap his fingers and make it happen then this shutdown is clearly his fault...as if it wasn't clear already.
