Still the idiot-in-chief. ..
Fact check: Trump says again that Americans need ID to buy groceries. They still don't. https://www.cnn.com/2019/10/14/politics/fact-check-trump-groceries-id-voter-fraud/index.html

There are many horrible decisions, actions, statements that 45 has made. Many.dignin said:
The abandonment of the Kurds to be left to attempted genocide really really bothers me. It gets me in the gut. The fact that they had to ask for help from Assad & Putin because our Special Forces weren't allowed to stand by them makes it so much worse but this move was predictable. Probably planned. It is just not who we are to abandon an ally who cannot defend themselves against an unprovoked attack by a big country. It feels so wrong & the Kurds will never trust us again. No one will but it's the Kurds who are being killed & attacked right now. And all the losses in the fight to beat ISIS was a waste. They have their flag flying in a Syrian town already.
Where is NATO?? Where is somebody besides Assad/Putin? I feel helpless & I feel so angry that this is occurring & he's doing ridiculous rallies while those US Special Forces are traumatized by this too. He is a fool, he allowed this.
I wanted the special forces to ignore their orders. Something should have been done to negate one insane destructive tweet. One tweet. Look what one tweet has caused.
45 cannot even comprehend the ramifications. Saying ISIS should go back to Europe, what the hell is wrong with him. And why couldn't this be stopped. The president shouldn't be so powerful that he can effectively blow up foreign policy & US reputation. .
This feels personal. Like when we first found out about the kids in cages crying for their parents. Despicable.
American journalists were called chickens by Kurds today. He destroys all of us.0 -
Lasting harm is even worse than the current harm I fear. I hope that other leaders allow us to right this ship and not hold a grudge...but man, it'll be tough. This action has no benefit to the USA, only downside. A HUGE downside.njnancy said:

I don't know how we "fix" all of the damage that has been done. There are things that can never be fixed. It is a spiral that will only produce bad outcomes.cincybearcat said:

Trump tweeted that the Kurds need to deal with Syria not us. We have to concentrate on the southern border. (Paraphrased) Moron. You just gave Russia another gift & screwed another ally.
There's no 'takebacks' on this one. It is a disaster as he likes to say about other president's policies, but this is a true disaster. No good comes from this.0 -

When everybody on Earth knows what an awful decision he was making, it's amazing that it is just allowed to happen. Nobody at the Pentagon, Generals, his sycophant cabinet, nobody steps in and throws amendment 25 at him or does more whistleblowing. They are all complicit.mrussel1 said:

Turkey is invading Kurdish held territory... we are retreating and if we leave that base, the nukes will be hostages until and if we can remove them. This will take a tremendous amount of logistical security and even construction to wherever they go, if we get them.mickeyrat said:so how are we at odds with turkey that ops at incirlik are at risk?0 -

The official source is sending mortars to US positions, even after being warned.mickeyrat said:mrussel1 said:

They have terrorists within their Army & are not doing what they told our moronic president they wanted to do. Create a safety zone & resettle displaced Syrians.
They are just attacking the Kurds, moving further South every day. They lied to Trump. He was stupid to believe them, but I digress.
US forces would not safely be able to enter Turkey right now. We definitely couldn't waltz in & just remove our nukes.
Turkey may be a NATO ally in name but they are not our friend. Hopefully Trump is realizing that.
I'm just worried about the US soldiers stuck in the middle of this insanity. Perry & Pompeo are on this so ..... idk.
Turkey bad, nukes dangerous, possession is 90%, US not possessing.0 -
