I know the acting AG. He's from my little town here in Illinois. Just got a bump by Obama not too long ago.

Here's to hoping for the best.

They threw democrats a bone while sessions awaits confirmation. It is transparent and stupid.

It took Nixon an entire term plus a year before he sacked his AG in the Saturday Night Massacre. It takes Trump a week.. what an overachiever.

Ford on Trump travel ban: 'We do not support this policy'
    http://www.freep.com/story/money/cars/ford/2017/01/30/ford-trump-travel-ban-we-do-not-support-policy/97242440/

"Respect for all people is a core value of Ford Motor Company, and we are proud of the rich diversity of our company here at home and around the world," Fields and Bill Ford said in the joint statement Monday morning. "That is why we do not support this policy or any other that goes against our values as a company."

Everything is going exactly according to plan, nothing has changed since the order was signed, and the news media need to calm down their “false, misleading, inaccurate, hyperventilating” coverage of the “fractional, marginal, minuscule percentage” of international travellers who have been simply “set aside for further questioning” for a couple hours on their way into the greatest country in the world.
“It really is a massive success story in terms of implementation on every single level,” the administration official said at one point.

“Our nation has a long and rich history of welcoming those fleeing persecution. We also have a long and rich history of liberating those suffering under oppression. We are the most welcoming and generous country in the world, and we are a country of immigrants.

The world we find ourselves in is dangerous and becoming increasingly so. Since national security and public safety are the preeminent functions of government, there is a fundamental duty to ensure the necessary background investigations can be done to stop anyone intent on doing harm from exploiting Americans’ generosity and taking more innocent lives.

American people deserve border and interior security. They deserve to know who is coming to our country, for what purpose, and for how long. They deserve to be assured those seeking entry into the country – regardless of the length of stay – have been vetted thoroughly and do not represent a security risk.

I am committed to doing everything we can to keep Americans safe just as I am committed to defending religious liberty and providing refuge to those fleeing persecution.”

pretty much. we had a nice little run here in america. people haven't changed, but the world has. we've always had the undereducated. however, the US no longer can provide good paying factory jobs to those people. and now we have a large segment of society that's grown angry and resentful of those who have taken those jobs. Trump/Bannon saw an opportunity, took advantage and scored big.

Except our intelligence and law enforcement agencies disagree as to whether it makes us safer. Call it what it is, a 12% Muslim ban.
