I forced my way through the first season this past year and it didn't hook me. Can't see how some say this is better then the Sopranos.

It was a speech directed at white America delivered by a white guy of privilege, who has never struggled in his life. He spoke to white America and if you listened closely, you could hear the dog whistles. I did. And I'm not the only one.

Gen Kill was exceptional. I'll have to check out Westworld. I need to get back to teh Scorcese series Vinyl. I watched about the first six episodes and it didn't hook me. It wasn't renewed so I may never get back.
TV is just so good these days. In my opinion all started by HBO.
And movies suck... I guess all the good writers have ended up at SHO, HBO, AMC, etc.

As much as I love David Simons work I couldn't get into Generation Kill. Maybe I should give it another try. Loved Vinyl Westworld didn't work for me either

We have cleared the way for the construction of the Keystone and Dakota pipelines, thereby creating tens of thousands of jobs. Screw those Native Americans. We don't build pipelines through white people's property.
At the same time, my administration has answered the pleas of immigration enforcement and border security by finally enforcing our immigration laws, We're going to focus our law enforcement efforts on the immigrant community because we know they commit the most crime. And we know the black guy in office didn't enforce any immigration laws. Its our turn now.
We want all Americans to succeed, but that cannot happen in an environment of lawless chaos. We must restore integrity and the rule of law and our borders. For that reason, we will soon begin the construction of a great, great wall along our southern border. We all know who the lawless are, those that come over the border, the dark skinned folks.
And we must support the victims of crime. I have ordered the Department of Homeland Security to create an office to serve American victims. The office is called VOICE, Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement. Again, implying that immigrants or people of color are the only ones who commit crimes against Americans. Do you hear it BS?
America is friends today with former enemies. Some of our closest allies, decades ago, fought on the opposite side of these terrible, terrible wars. Is Trump referring to Putin here? Follow the money indeed.
