I get my insurance through the ACA with a subsidy. No prescriptions, no dental, no vision. It's an insurance plan not a health plan.

I have a $6500 deductible, and I pay (with the subsidy) the insurance company $325 a month.

It's useless, unless you like propping up insurance companies. For them, I'm sure it's awesome.

Has this changed since your new POTUS?

I'm pretty sure the Universal Health Care that Bernie Sanders was proposing, along the lines of what every other major country has, one that put an emphasis on actual care instead of keeping private insurance companies in business would be more preferable. What we'll get is Republican "health care savings accounts" and then when the disaster hits, ACA recipients will just be steamrolled.

    You see?
This is fake news that you want to spew going forward.
    He is your POTUS.
WTF are you talking about? You should really learn more about the US Constitution if you are going to opine on our system so often.

Contrary to Trump's declaration that he would repeal the law on Day 1 (notice he didn't), he does not have that authority in the least. This was a legislative act and any change falls completely under the purview of Congress. He has no authority other than signing whatever comes out of congress.
Until then people have to stop harping on the Trump administration until the new plan flies through republican backed congress.
I'm sure President Trump has found out that he does not have the authority on this but his congress does.
One month to repeal and implement a new plan just doesn't happen, it will take time.

To be fair, that could probably mean that you haven't had anything catastrophic happen to you. One car accident, ambulance trip and a surgery, and you're at 100 grand in a second. That's where it would help.
Yes it's insurance against disaster, but not really a health plan.
    isn't it?

In the event of something major... you've got coverage. And in the meantime... you're covered with the smaller items. No?

The bigger question is the structure that allows for medical facilities and insurance leeches to charge so much. Health is an essential service. I'm really not too sure of allowing such price gouging on what ultimately is a monopoly.

Doctors should be well paid- don't get me wrong. So should nurses. But I'm under the impression there are a lot of people far removed from patient care that have healthy bank accounts. Am I wrong?

Nice how the SF article leaves out that the person received a deportation order by a judge after multiple criminal convictions for domestic assault, driving while impaired, and violating a protective order. And was supposed to be on the plane.

If you were to do those things in a country your in illegally, they'd throw your ass in prison for a very, very long time.

If your here illegally, and stay out of serious trouble, then leave them alone, IMO. But someone like this who had all those charges. Sorry, but don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Seven people shot and killed yesterday in Chicago. What is going on there - totally out of control. Chicago needs help! Big interview tonight by Henry Kravis at The Business Council of Washington. Looking forward to it!

Somebody needs to tell the president that tweeting doesn't actually accomplish anything.

    So called President. Sad!
