Avocado and 10,000 days were both released on the Friday before the UK & USA release. Remember sneaking out of work when I worked in Dublin to pick both up so I could have them for my 4hr drive home.

Fear Inoculum is a BEAST of an album. I was so thrilled to see it was going to be a dozen tracks, spanning the best part of 80 minutes. Easy to dismiss it after a couple of listens, but stick with it, it's so rewarding. For me, Descending and Culling Voices are the two stand-out tracks ("Don't you dare point that at me!") And the drumming on Pneuma is just insane (per the Youtube clip, above).  Book-ended perfectly with the title track and 7empest, the latter going past the 15-minute mark.  Don't forget the fun of Chocolate Chip Trip either! The bastard inbred son of Merkaba.

So looking forward to seeing them live again next year.

Ordered an Alex Grey art blanket with the Torch design from Fear Inoculum with some other goodies a week ago. Already arrived in NZ. It's beautiful and very well made. They're expensive but I'm happy as with it. Ordering a lot makes the shipping worth it and didn't get stung with import duty either. Plus Alex wrote a thank you himself on the receipt. If you guys are thinking about ordering anything from the COSM shop I highly recommend it. Great quality and service.

    Beautiful!

I’ve found the quality of Tool’s merch and those they support/promote to be of excellent quality.
  • Lateralus today. Why so long between records?

Ha. They exhibit dependable excellence with every release. All brilliant but Ænima and Lateralus stick their necks out just a little bit more than the others. I'd say they are first equal in terms of Tool's best album, but Lateralus has the air and feel of being a hint more seasoned therefore is a hint more quintessentially Tool.

Anyone know the going rate for the Mark Brooks Boston (2019) and Mark Brooks Atlanta (2020) posters? Non-signed, no remarks.
Buddy is wanting to buy them as a pair, but no data from the Boston show on e-beans.
  • Journey continues with 10,000 Days this afternoon. So far Lateralus has blown my mind! Let's see if this one can top it!

  • Wow! Vicarious is so straight ahead, love Maynard's vocal cadence in this song, and once again, I have totally slept on Tool's drummer all this time. This guy is fucking amazing!

Just wait till Rosetta Stoned mate. Three time signatures at once in the breakdown. Think that's Danny's most impressive work.

Wow that’s one hell of a first concert. Although mine was beastie boys at MSG in 1998.

Setting the bar high for a first show.

Man, I can't wait for this tour... glad I grabbed a few shows. The $300 price tag for the lowest tier VIP doesn't seem so outrageous looking at the Eddie Vedder prices.

Genesis in 1991 at the old Foxboro stadium was my first, followed up a few months later w/ U2 & Primus of all bands on the Zoo TV tour… it was all over after that.

Correction: that was 1992 & my brother took me to genesis for my 15th birthday.
