Closest city to me on the tour is Raleigh... hmm just far enough to make me question if I want to make that trip.

Edit - forgot to drop my thoughts. I am not mind-blown, but I do really enjoy it. Invincible is one hell of a song and so far my favorite. The time, thought, production, etc. put into this thing is impossible not to be impressed by. I don’t see myself just throwing this on to listen to very often though.

My closest is LA. Love Tool but not going to drive 5 hours each way.  Hopefully they tour more next year. New album is breathtaking. Love it

Omitting the entire Northwest and southeast makes me think they will, but I've learned never to hold my breath with this band.

Just downloaded the extended 24-bit album, so my first listen on headphones should be wild.

I’m really digging the album. Like the added segues, especially Legion Inoculant. Reminds me of I Am The Sea or something along those lines.

The beginning of 7empest is the most straight ahead classic rock I could ever imagine them doing and they pull it off surprisingly well. Wish Jones didn’t do the flangey wah sweep thing. Feel it would have even more impact and less of that recycled Tool sound.

Im amazed how organic this thing sounds. Thought those day with Tool were over. Lots of classic guitar tones especially.

So far, I wouldn’t say it meets the creative peaks of Ænima or Lateralus but it might be the best presentation of the material available. Just stunningly executed recordings.

This is a sonic experience in full 24-bit quality on good headphones. Wow.

I just burned my iTunes download to CD. Shame it cannot fit the interludes as I love them, especially "Litanie contre la peur".
    Chocolate Chip Trip is amazing.
As previously said above, it is a lot to take in in one listen. I listened on my headphones and it sounded amazing.
My friend told me he was in tears during his first listen to Pnuema! That's how powerful this song is.

Agreed. This is the way to listen to the album. The drumming really shines in Hi-Res audio. I don't know why they bothered with the archaic CD format. If you're going to put out more than 80 minutes of music, it should be done digitally.

Are you hearing any clipping/distortion in the 24bit version?

Well, they did it both ways. Judging by the packaging, they put a lot of value in the physical presentation. With that, I'm glad they chopped interludes instead of making it 2 discs.

I listened through twice already. The best listen was my 8-mile run with the Bose ear buds. My god what a great album and perfect for an 8-mile run. I just got back into running so I'm still building up. This was by far my best run. Riding the wave of this album kept my heart rate in check and my pace was on point. I know, geeky, but anyone who runs will get it.

I love the entire album. Theres something about Culling Voices and I haven't seen anyone mention it. It's starts off like a lover sweetly caressing your cheek with the back of their hand. And before you know it they wrap both hands around your neck and choke the fuck out of you. Very powerful song.

Yes, 24-bit and some headphones. Doesn't necessarily have to be good ones. Just have to drown out the outside noise so you can really listen to it.

Awesome fucking album. My gawd they killed it.
